I know, the reason they didn't release that album for like 30 years was because The Who upstaged them, big time. |

why can't i just have my opinions and everyone else fuck off? The Stones played a fucking excellent set, and the video wasn't released because the Stones did their set after not sleeping for 20+ hours and were planning on re-doing it in the Roman coliseum because they thought they could get it better. then brian was kicked out and died, and nobody wanted to look at it. when ian stewart found the footage years later in his shed, played it, and realized that the whole thing about the who blowing them off stage was rubbish, he salvaged it. it had nothing to do with the fucking who. the who's performance was great, but the stones were better. brian's (only live) slide on no expectations? keith's solo on sympathy? the guitars on jumpin jack? mick's harp on parachute woman? gimme a break. i have no problem with you lot liking the who better, that's fine, but i'm getting a little sick of you lot ambushing me just cause i prefer the world's greatest rock and roll band to the who. and i'm sick of all you fucking who fans always ganging up on me cause i prefer the stones, it's not like i'm a fucking minority. they've sold way more records and their bigger bang tour WILL sell more than the who's tour, so fuck off. ps, the who were shit-hot from touring, while the stones hadn't played live in over a year and didn't hit the stage til like 4 am, and they STILL played a better gig. seriously, fuck off. |

That is exactly what I was thinking. I love the versions of "Run Like Hell" and "Outside the Wall". I also really love Joni Mitchell's version of Goodbye Blue Sky on Live in Berlin |

I've reviewed the evidence and I agree. I'm not going to show sympathy for a band because they've been doing this or that, I go by what I see and hear. And what I saw and heard was a downright upstaging. |

They were great. So were the Stones, don't get me wrong but that is the greatest live performance I have ever seen. Easily beats the Stones' set.
