So here's a slideshow of images, mostly centered around Brian Jones, with the song they supposedly recorded called Little One. The person who submitted this credits Brian with sitar (though it sounds like a tamboura, which he also played proficiently; maybe both?), Jimi Hendrix with (what else?) lead guitar, Dave Mason (of Traffic) with bass guitar, and Mitch Mitchell with the drumming. Really cool track. It could be a fake, but it seems real. All the musicians seem to stick to their usual styles (though Hendrix seems more restrained than usual for the most part), especially Brian, who really liked to play instruments as they were originally intended to be played. http://youtube.com/watch?v=EpefiztTbb8 |

Now that's what I'm talking about! I've heard "My Little One" before and I think it's an awesome song. A collaboration between two of the greatest gods of rock. Anyone have any more information on this track? |

Yeah I got some. Dave Mason is credited in the studio logs as also playing sitar, and Brian is credited with 'percussion'. My guess is that some studio engineer or someone couldn't tell the difference between a sitar and tampura and credited them both with sitar, but one of them was actually playing tampura and the other sitar. |

Interesting. Thanks for telling me. What you said would make more sense. Are there any other recordings available of such jam sessions? |

Well, Brian played piano on All Along The Watchtower, but it's either non-existent or pretty much inaudible on the official release. I'm pretty sure there's bootlegs of it around somewhere. |

That was really cool. I remember looking at this before when it was first posted, but now my appreciation for these two guys has really grown, so I decided to look back and have another listen. Just awesome. |
