How many songs did John write with the Beatles?

How many songs was John the lead singer for with the Beatles?

How many songs did Paul write with the Beatles?

How many songs was Paul the lead singer for with the Beatles?

Just to see which one has the better effort and sang the most.

Who sang which songs: LINK

This site tells who wrote a lot of their songs: LINK
Just click on an album and over on the right-hand panel will come up the song names and there are quotes from each Beatles about each song. And usually it'll say who wrote what.
If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.

Ok this is my project from last night. I put all 226 Beatles songs (12 UK albums, MMT, and Past Masters, Volumes 1 and 2) in a list, and through several rounds of cuts limited it down to my top 100 favourites

I then sequenced those 100 tracks into four cds chronologically, and I made it so all four cds fit the time constraint of an hour and 20 minutes

here they are

The Best of the Beatles

Disc 1 (1:17:46)

1. I Saw Her Standing There
2. From me To You
3. Anna (Go To Him)
4. Please Please Me
5. Baby It’s You
6. Twist and Shout
7. Long Tall Sally
8. I Want to Hold Your Hand
9. It Won’t Be Long
10. Roll Over Beethoven
11. All I’ve Got to Do
12. You Really Got a Hold On Me
13. Not a Second Time
14. Money (That’s What I Want)
15. Can’t Buy Me Love
16. I Should Have Known Better
17. I’ll Cry Instead
18. Things We Said Today
19. You Can’t Do That
20. A Hard Day’s Night
21. Rock and Roll Music
22. I’ll Follow the Sun
23. I’m a Loser
24. Eight Days a Week
25. Every Little Thing
26. It’s Only Love
27. Ticket to Ride
28. Help!
29. You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away
30. Yesterday
31. We Can Work it Out
32. Day Tripper

Disc 2 (1:16:02)

1. Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)
2. Girl
3. Think For Yourself
4. Run For Your Life

Yeah. For the guy who loves The White Album so much, I'd think that he wouldn't butcher it down to only 16 tracks, not to mention that it's out of the order that The Beatles wanted them to be heard forty years ago. Speaking of butchering an album, I believe you are the guy who kept his arguement for months that the US version of Revolver is butchered, yet that only cut three tracks. This compilation throws half of The White Album in the trash.

Among his favs were "Here, There, and Everywhere" and later "Why Don't We Do It In The Road?"

Well, a person might read a certain amount of jealousy and insecurity about Paul's "Yesterday" composition by John's own admission in the song "How Do You Sleep." Maybe he really liked that song but used it as a tool to try to hurt Paul in song.

You're missing the point. I started with 226 songs, and decided to cut it down to 100. My 100 favourite tracks, and after that I put them in an order chronologically. It wasn't supposed to be an album really, just a collection of my 100 favourites sequenced in order

And for your information, I waited till the very last thing I did to cut into The Beatles
