carpenter, you are such an idiot. jimmy page has nothing to do with the "we sold our souls for rock n' roll" thing. that was the name of a black sabbath compilation album. He didn't say it about led zeppelin, he didn't say it about black sabbath, he wasn't in black sabbath, he didn't tell black sabbath to say it, HE AND THE REST OF LED ZEPPELIN HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT PHRASE. it was all black sabbath. i just wanted to clear that up for you. and it's a little unfair to compare oasis' record sales to wolfmother's, considering oasis has been selling records since 94, and wolfmother just released their debut album this year. im sure you already knew that though, being the bright intellectual that you are. if you haven't already noticed, you are really starting to piss me off edit: plus everyone in this decade is gay as fuck about their music tastes so its pretty much a given that wolfmother will not sell as much as other bands have sold in the past |

i know the difference between black sabbath and led zeppelin you fucking prick. you're the one that's coming off like a real fuckin idiot for not knowing the myths about Led Zeppelin selling their souls to the devil. did you know that jimmy page bought aleister crowleys (i believe it was him, i know it was a major occultist, but i may be wrong on the name) house? did you know that several of the lyrics (if not all) of stairway to heaven refer to that house? and have you ever played stairway backwards? and you're right about the oasis sales. let's make it more fair. wait, UNFAIR, but in wolfmother's favor. compare how many records wolfmother's sold and compare it to how much oasis' debut sold in...let's say...a month. i'd bet good money oasis outsold them big time. and i don't give a shit if i'm pissing you off, you don't intimidate me, and unlike most twats on forums, i wouldn't be any more scared of you in real life. you probably would've shut the fuck up a while ago if we were having this conversation face to face. |

They have SOME great singles, but i frankly could give two shits about them. They're always fighting, and saying shit like they're better than the beatles. i say fuck them. They're alright, and have a few good songs, but i just hate them as a band. Their shows are too extravigant, and i get board of them too easily. |

dude, their shows are too extravagant? are you joking? their shows are so stripped down to the basics it's almost like an amateur band (aside from the million dollar sound system). they don't dance around or girate or have mock crucifixions on stage and they don't have a fucking jumbotron in the back (at least not when they're in doors). they just stand there, the five piece band with a keyboardist and amps on both sides, playing rock n roll. unless you consider allowing fans on stage, giving away picks and tambourines and spending hours with the fans 'extravagant', i don't see how you can support that claim. It may look extravagant to look at the videos from Knebworth and see 300,000 fans and a screen the size of the red sea behind them, but you can't blame them for selling tickets. and if you meet them, they're all really nice people, they always have time for the fans, and they worship the beatles and don't think they're better than them. if any of them ever said they were, it was probably Liam on coke, and you don't even KNOW what you say when you're on coke. They give as many compliments to bands like the Verve and Radiohead as they do to themselves. If you don't like their music, that's cool, but to say that their shows are too extravagant and they think they're better than the beatles is just not true. |

Hate me, do it and do it again.

Yeah, Liam said "these guys can't fade out, they're Oasis' evil step cousin" about the Arctic Monkeys and I thought that was cool. |

yeah Oasis adore Kasabian and Arctic Monkeys and say things like "we don't even want to picture what the music scene would be like without them" etc. you should REALLY pick up something from Kasabian Dean. They're the best young band in England right now (I say in England because hello the Redwalls duh). |

i don't know them personally. Have you ever met them, can you support your claim?? if they're like that, then thats great, and maybe i've miss judged them. i still don't like the extravigant parts you've mentioned, and their other pieces of music. Some of their hits are great, but i guess you'd say their just "not my cup o' tea". |

yeah I met them March 26, 2006 in Nashville, Tennessee and I've got an autographed poster to prove it. I also met the Redwalls and one member of the Arctic Monkeys there. |

Well even if you "rolled that way" i don't think those bands would be open to full fill your "needs" and Liam least of all. And if you do "roll that way", perhaps a Ricky Martin concert would suit you better??
