i love katie
he is the real reason i listen to punk music.

no, i'm kidding. he is a great musician and songwriter. i used to play his music a lot when i was younger. it's hard to deny the stranger and other recordings of that period. straight-up great rock music.

Piano Man is a great song. I love it. I remember Westlife did a cover of Uptown Girl. Awful!

man, i guess i'm the only one who wants to vomit when i hear his voice. although i love that video where he's tied in a chair or in an electric chair or something like that. maybe the song has the word "pressure" in it? i don't know, i haven't seen it in a lot of years.

Ha, I think his voice is great. It's aged now (him doing the Pled of Allegiance at the Superbowl-suckage), but he has that unque combination of rock/crooner vocals that make him such a great melody maker.

It's called tha National Anthem :fear:

Also, I love his voice seeing as he's my second favorite artist ever. It's hard to deny his songwriting talent. He had great range in vocals, and this can be discovered if you delve beneath the surface of just his hits.

That's fine. I know them all pretty well.
But I know sometimes I must get out in the light.
Better leave her behind with the kids, they're alright.

i just got home from his concert. i had no idea i was going until this afternoon, i'd said something to my dad about going to this like a month ago but he said they were already sold out of tickets so i forgot about it. this afternoon he picks me up from track with two tickets. so anyway, we went to the concert and it absolutely ruled. he's one of those artists where it's a million times more rewarding to see him after you've dug into his music and really found the beauty in his music, but on the other end you could walk in off the street knowing him as "the guy who sings piano man" and you would still enjoy yourself and probably know a lot more songs than you thought. my two favorite songs by him are definitely "vienna" from the stranger, and second is captain jack from the piano man album. neither were played, which i kind of expected for vienna but i was really surprised captain jack wasn't played. slightly disappointing there, but other than that i was blown away. my dad had seen him once before with elton john (yes a concert with both joel and elton john) and he said this one was better, he said this was the best concert he's ever been to.
anyone for tennis?
