Since Billy Joel was a big artist in the 70s and 80s, I thought I oughta make a topic for him.

I like the Piano Man, The Stranger, and Glass Houses albums. Oh, and Turnstiles is really good too.

Do you still need it? Anyway, I'm a huge Billy Joel fan, my second favorite artist. The Stranger is his standout album, but I think Turnstiles is highly underrated. He's the 3rd best selling solo male artist of all time.

I have a few compilation sets and a few albums from Mr. William Joel and he certainly deserves respect and an ocassional listen from many members of our planet.
Storm Front and Glass Houses are two of my favorite albums but he does have a large and enduring body of work. I am not saying that he has a song that everyone would like but he has produced some very good songs over his career.

I have 52nd Street, Glass Houses, & his Greatest Hits double-CD set. He is an excellent piano player and a nice songwriter. I think my Mom may have "The Stranger" lying around on cassette somewhere, I may try to find it.

Glass Houses is the only album I've heard but I've been completely in love with it for the past couple weeks. All the songs are easy to relate to, well I guess not Sometimes a Fantasy... :worriedlookleft:

Now 100% more avant-garde than Ivan!
When I went to see Sigur Ros last year at the Theater at Madison Square Garden, Billy Joel was performing in the arena upstairs at the same time. About midway through the show, Jonsi (lead singer/guitarist) stops in between a song and starts complaining that he hears "squeaky noises" coming from upstairs. Everyone laughed because we knew he was talking about the Billy Joel show. He talks in such an odd accent too, so it made it tres funneh.

Be sure and tell her...
My parents listen to Billy Joel. He's okay. He makes me think of being 5 years old, which was a pretty cool time in my life.

I used to think he was black for some reason.

My dad has a Greatest Hits CD of his, which I've listened to a few times. That was a year or two ago. Don't listen to him now unless he comes on the radio.
