I don't think you can define 10 years of music in one song. There was recorded so many different songs. From pop to hard rock. It's not right to say that one song IS the 60s.

And I think Purple Haze is a pretty good representation of the '60s.

I think two mentioned songs sum them up greatly. "My Generation" and "Light My Fire" are really sixties, to me.
