I think it's silly to run off and call the church pathetic hypocrites. They do so much charity work for people everywhere, they give some people reason to live, and they are always the first to forgive, and they do all of this, without holding any real political power. They haven't held real power in American politics since the 17th century.

American isn't governed by The Bible, and it hasn't been since we've been the United States Of America. Everything the church fights for is eventually defeated anyway. Abortion, prohibition, and soon to be gay marriage. I have a feeling that in less than 50 years we'll see the final solution to gay marriage, and that it'll be legal.

Just about the time medical science comes up with gene therapy to "correct" the biological urge to wiggle one's weenie in another man's orifice. Not that there's anything wrong with that!
