Hate me, do it and do it again.
I got into My Chemical Romance by three people at the exact same time, it was weird. Maddy just recently got hooked on their album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge at the same time I'd first heard "Welcome To The Black Parade" on a local alternative station (it was played after "Dani California" which got like 10 minute repeats), and loved it. Then I asked my friend Haley about them and she told me a new album was coming out by them influenced by bands I liked (The Beatles, Queen, Floyd, Bowie), and I should check it. So I got it and enjoyed it upon first listen, and we had this Halloween party at our eighth grade teacher Miss Yepez' room and it basically played on repeat and I was hooked, thanks to Kylee and Haley. "Mama" has been my favourite ever since they could recite it word for word perfectly after just having the album for a day or so.

lol I still thank you. But I remembered I heard Ace of Spades in the Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3, which is still my favorite of the series I would say and around the same time in wrestling as Motorhead did the entrance songs for Triple H such as The Game, Lines in the Sand, King of Kings, (more recent though)

  1. The Beatles
An old friend I had in my sophomore year of high school introduced me to them (and Shabby Road :cigar: , his name was "Boob" on Shabby ). I had already heard 1, and I was craving more and luckily I met him. He burned me a CD with "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds", "Taxman", "Strawberry Fields Forever", "Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", and a few others that I just fell in love with. So, eventually, since we hung out so much the Beatles grew on me. Now, I consider myself a much bigger fan of The Beatles than I think he was.
  2. Nirvana
I walked into my friend's house and his sister was listening to Nevermind. Need I say more?
  3. Bob Dylan
I owe that all to St. Thomas. He recommended the song "Visions of Johanna" to me. I really dug it so I listened to Blonde On Blonde. That didn't quite do it for me though. It took his self titled album to really win me over.
  4. The Beach Boys
    Anyone remember Yankee8156?

that really makes it all worth it. i would probably say that i've turned a lot of people on to bob dylan since i joined these forums, or at school, wherever. and i think that's a big thing. dylan's one of those cats that you are going to get into at one period of your life, even if you don't listen to him or like him now. eventually you will come around to understanding it all if you continue to listen to rock music. he's just too important. so i consider it an honor and a privilege to be able to spread that stuff around sometimes.
