OOOhhh Shit I'm the only one I voted for Cream
but to tell you the truth it was a mistake cos' a meant to vote for Zeppelin ... But I'm not affraid to say that I'm a big big fan of THE CREAM OF THE CREAM if you know what I mean ... but I do feel that in some cases Zeppelin became abetter band .. and besides Cream didn't last that long, cos' they would probably had something under their sleeve that just sadly couldn't evolve in time. But Cream takes #4 in my fab list !!!

I voted for Cream too. It's not really what's better about Cream, it's just that Robert Plant's (from what I've heard) vocals sound almost the same in every song. And Jimmy's guitar tone is weak and his improvised solos are often REALLY sloppy and out of key. |

I love Page's improvisation, but on another thread I got accused of not knowing shit for saying that he improvised. Anyway, I hate Plant's vocals for the most part. |

No. They aren't. Did you see my arguments in the other topic? Obviously not. Sloppynes is matter of opinion. Out of key is um, not. It'd FACT. *hits self on head because people don;t know anything about key* |

Page's solos are definately not out of key. And besides, every guitarist plays some notes out of key. Little chromatic runs and such. Maybe a minor third in a major key. They're just used for a little bit of variety and tone colour for want of a better term. Anywho, I prefer Led Zeppelin |

Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others | |

You're right. His tone isn't weak and he never plays out of key. That is if we mean the same kind of key. I mean any of 24 major or minor diatonic scales that provide the tonal framework for a piece of music. Jimmy never plays out of key. |

Ae you being serious or sacastic? I'm sorry if I sounded like a jerk. Off couse he soemtimes does it, but EVERY guitar player plays a little of of tune at times. But he doesn't do it often. |

The thing is, I'm mainly judging from the amount of Led Zeppelin I've heard, versus the amount of Cream I've heard. I wouldn't say those things about Page if I didn't see this one video, it looked like it was from the 80s, it's Led Zeppelin playing Heartbreaker. And I remember watching and thinking, "This is Jimmy Page?" It's terrible. But I suppose that was a misrepresentation of Led Zep and I'm comparing it (unfairly) to Cream's first Farwell Concert. So I really don't know who I'd side with if I had heard an equal amount of both bands and seen some awesome Led Zep concert. |
