plus I'm scared of silence :fear:

Me too! I have to have some music when I fall asleep so I don't just wait in the darkness in silence.

I get hyper and dance to just about any song I'm listening to, no matter how slow or lame it is. :headbang:

Whatever music I get I take. I don't like music that people pump up way too much before I have heard it. I like a lot of emotions in it. If I really like a song. I will play just one song over and over and over and over and over and over and over until I can pick up on things no one hears and have every drum/guitar string/whatever memorized. I memeorize lyrics usally with in 1 or 2 listens. If i like the song. All my music put together is about half of what Eric's pink floyd collection is. But it is twice as diverse. So I win =)

somehow that works.
My body is a cage. That keeps me from dancing with the one I love, but my mind holds the key.

Sometimes for me it is "the thrill of the chase". For example: I will hear a song on the radio and feel that I must posess that song. I will research the song, find it on the Internet and all the albums the song appears on; go to the music store and look for it; search for it on ebay and generally think about the song for about 7 days until talking myself out of spending the money for it. Or I will get the song, listen to it for the next 5 days and then my obsession has been satisfied and the song has less power over me and I can continue a normal (that's relative) existence.

Someone should post a pic of Muhammad here on ASR and see what happens.

I'll do it myself...

My musical obsessions, I like listening for little delays and differences between things that are like double tracked or layered what ever. Like the guitar solo on money how you can hear the two guitars hitting almost every note the same but with a few differences and the same with vocals...

My odd musical obession, three word's :David Gilmour's arms
...and somebody spoke and I went into a dream....

If a booklet is bad for an album, I usually don't bother listening to it much. I love having awesome liner notes. Thank God for The Who's booklets.

I spent about two hours making careful edits and crossfades making that crazy Roger Waters "best of" disc recently. I finished the disc and listened to it to check for any errors and decided that I did not like some of the edits after all and made changes to two songs, completed the copy, listened to the new version and decided it was satisfactory and closed the session.
Then I made sure the oven was turned off by turn it off exactly 23 times and washed my hands 10 times.

I'm one of the few people it seems who can stand, and even enjoy, modern mainstream music.
