I am sure that some of us have some "unique", perhaps borderline obsessive/compulsive behaviors at times involving music. Why don't we share some of them and perhaps it will be theraputic for some and helpful to others to know that you are not alone. Do you find that sometimes you can think of nothing else but getting that song downloaded? Or everyday before you leave for school, you have to look at a particular album? Spend hours listening to a song to hear precisely when the guitar note drops? What is some odd behavior that you demonstrate towards music? |

I think more of myself as a song and dance man.

Recently I saw a documentary about Woodstock. I then immediately got a craving for late 60's hard rock, the kind of stuff they played there. I researched it and got a few songs and played them over and over until I got tired of it. Right now I'm in a psychedelic mood so I'm reading some articles about that on the net. |

A friend recently asked me to play some music at her upcoming event. Right away for like the next two hours, I would go back and forth compiling songs in my mind that I hoped to put on discs to play at the event that would not be for another month. |

I was a bit neurotic about finding this very rare ,15-minutes long, recording done by Jim Morrison in a Paris studio. It's the last known recording of Jim and i read a lot about it before ever hearing it. I SO BADLY wanted to have/hear it and thanks to the wonders of file-sharing i obtained it and it's now a priced object in my CD-collection owhhh...i'm getting serious again - i probably need a drink... or two!!

Carnological order? You order them according to the amount of meat they have on them? I want to clear something up. When I do this provocations, I don't mean anything by it, we all know you meant chronological order. I just want to make people laugh. I know you can spell, and I don't give a shit about spelling my self. I did it earlier on to Nick, and he replied: I hate typos. What or who is a typo? A "spelling taxman"? Spelling detective? So, I apologise, Nick. |

Calm down. It's a forum. I like to have all of the songs from an album in the same bitrate. Sometimes, I'll even lower the quality just so it's normal bitrate on my computer. I listen to the artist or album of the shirt I'm wearing at the moment. I usually end up listening to Metallica's Ride The Lightning, because that's the sweatshirt I always wear.

Perhaps it's because some people that post here are from country's that have at one time been invaded by Hitler. It's just a bit insensitive. My musical obsessions are very cyclical (sp?? cycle-like). I become obsessed with a particualr artist, or song even and then just repeat it over and over for a week or two. Then, something new comes along. Frequent favorites are the Beatles & John (of course), Nirvana, The Smiths, & Rush! |

Hate me, do it and do it again.

I always need the album. I can't have one song, or just listen to one song, unless I've heard the rest of the album is complete shit. Then I usually delete the one song because I hate just having one track. I also need the album art for my iTunes library. Every album I own has the picture of the album art. The iPod just looks so... naked without it. I usually have musical "fads" where I'm into an artist for a short time and move on. A few have survived past this, like The Beatles, The Who, The Doors, Coldplay, ect. All my favorite bands. I, like Jeorge, also like wearing a shirt that goes with the band I'm into that day. And if I like several bands, I'll wear one of the few non-music shirts I've got, or a Beatles one. |

I want to clear things up. 4 posts have been deleted. First one was made by scarecrow, right after my quote of Red Rose Speedway. It was a picture of Hitler and Mussollini, under which he wrote "Could thid be Raul? I think so.". All I did was what you saw in my quote Of Red Rose Speedway, and I did a similar thing to scarecrow, and I even explained it all, and apologised. 2nd one was by me, quoting the pic and asking IN ALL SERIOUSNESS scarecrow if he resented my joke. Third one was by~Guest~. She quoted me and wrote with the biggest possible letters that scarecrow and I should be banned for life. And that was AFTER I explained it all and apologised. It is RIDICULOUS! I made a sort joke which practically EVERYONE makes here 20 times in one day. Fourth was by scarecrow. He said that the pic and the question if I'm Hitler was an inocent joke. The third and the fourth post deservedly got deleted. Mine didn't deserve to get deleted, but obviously someone thought scarecrows 1st post was inapropriate, so mine HAD to be deleted. |

I know it's offtopic, and I hate to bring it up, but I need to say it... why the hell was the images of Hitler removed? Okay, I know it was offtopic, but there's plently of offtopic conversations that don't get removed in other threads. If she (guest) didn't want to view the images of Hitler, then she didn't have to... she can choose not to! I quess she can't watch t.v either, because she's guaranteed to see footage of Hitler some time or another. Heck, I hope she doesen't have the history channel, because she's bound to see hours of footage of Hitler every month if she watches it! There is absolutely nothing wrong with posting images of Hitler, nor is there anything illegal about it. Freedom of speech anyone..? I thought freedom of speech was also a part of this forum, but maybe not if images of Hitler are removed. And I'm sorry beatlematt for getting offtopic, but I needed to say what I said. |

It's like Angelina said. If you're from a country invaded by Germany, which I am, it's insensitive. But, to make things absolutely clear: I hold nothing against you. If I have trouble with hitler, it's MY problem. And I don't have a problem with him. What I do have a problem with is ~Guest~ saying with the biggest possible letters I should get banned. What for should I get banned??? I think you all better read everything I said in this thread. |

Well point is: one of you posted a very disturbing picture of Adolf Hitler giving a Nazi-salute and - i admit - i can be joking around and be a pain in the ass on the forum sometimes (make that always) but THAT was crossing a line. And besides: what does Adolf Hitler have to do with this topic? Nothing. It was just very painfull and i'm glad the mods deleted the pic. |
