Is socialism communism lite? If so, that's what I want. But even then I'm not into communing much, or even socialising with most people I've come across. Can one be an individualist in a commune? An anti-social socialist? |

That's what I used to think of socialism when I heard it, but then again I could be wrong. All I remember is that France is socialist or has been and Venezuela is now. |

Yeah I made a similar point about somwhere before, maybe netherlands or sweden? I think we3 used to be social democratic and it was great, then a man with a moustache invaded poland under the guise of socialism (national socialism may i add danke!)....and for some reason that fuck up our politics. |

Socialism versus Communism? This is like 'The Zodiac Killer versus The Sacramento Vampire'. They're both evil, but one has more polarity of evil on it than the other. |

Putting a limit on capitalism so that modern day countries don't become a feudal society is fine, but once it crosses over into limiting those that might achieve great things and rewarding lazy bastards, which socialism does, then it's evil. |

Yeah. That totally doesn't happen today. Don't get me wrong, I see your point. Socialism isn't perfect, but it's not at all evil. |

I used to be a communist and was well into it, member of all these groups n that. I think the theory behind it is good, but I kinda started to realise that it would never work in practice. People are just too selfish and when you put someone in charge power goes to their head! Anyway, socialism is alright but it's also hard to have a truly socialist country. The Labour government we have here in England are supposed to be "socialists" but are they bollocks. More like Democrats. |

Yeah!! Fuck the poor who have no means to make a better life for themselves. But seriously, since when is working three minimum wage jobs just to squeak by and feed your family considered lazy? How is denying the poor means to a greater education not limiting those who could achieve great things? Socialism is not inherently evil, in fact I would argue its intentions are better than capitalism. It just doesn't work. I am not a socialist but I definitely support progressive taxes. |

Because there always is one person in charge. I know there's not supposed to be in proper communism, but we've never managed to acheive proper communism. |
