Which of the musical icon Brians do you prefer?

We have Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones, original founder...musical innovator...king of cool.

And we have Brian Wilson, THE Beach Boy...production genius. A pocket symphonist.

Who will it be?

I'm going with Wilson.

Brian Jones kicks ass, his work with The Stones was awesome. Plus he inspired the BJM who have good songs.

Wilson.......the easiest vote I've ever cast.
My Beatles Trading Post (Updated Regularly)

"George had just come off tour, I'd flown in specially from England, Ringo had flown in specially, too, I think, and John wouldn't show up! He wouldn't come from across the park! George got on the phone, yelled, 'Take those fucking shades off and come over here, you!' John still wouldn't come over. He had a balloon delivered with a sign saying, LISTEN TO THIS BALLOON. It was all quite far out." -Paul McCartney

Tough vote.

Brian Wilson was a reat songcrafter, keyboard player, and extreamely creative when it came to adding new layers to pop music.

Brian Jones did all that and more, and hell, he played more instruments then like, anyone in the world. He wrote some killer tunes and had the respect of many musicians at the tiem (So did Wilson, but hey, did the BB do anythign "great" besides Pet Sounds and Smile Smile?) plus he was one of the founders of one of the most critiically hailed rock groups of all time.

So c'mon people. You all Stone-haters out there. You suck. I'm sick of this.

Mike, you and me rule.

Damn right.

But what could we expect from a message board made up of refugees from a Beatles site. Almost nobody wants to give The Rolling Stones their due credit, but it doesn't matter. The Rolling Stones have sold like ten times as many albums as the Beach Boys, so it's all good.

Hate me, do it and do it again.
I voted for Jones a few days ago, mainly because early Stones stuff is more interesting to me than stuff like Pet Sounds (and I'm like the only one who thinks that). Plus he was an influence on quite a few people, such as Jim Morrison.

Brian Jones was a more talented musician, he could play MORE than 20 instruments as far as I know.
He was the true soul of the stones, and a music genius, even though I think he was never given the chance to fully develop all his skills, that and his sad early death.
