I'd vote for The Wall, now. I like post-Tommy Who a lot more, when they became a more rocking band, in the studio, not just live. But Quadrophenia owns these both IMO... :F

i was just looking through some of the old topics and found this one. i cannot believe that the wall is beating tommy! even if i haven't heard the wall, i still can't believe it. in my opinion tommy is the greatest music album of all time of any band (that i've heard)

it looks like i need to go out and get the wall
anyone for tennis?

I think Tommy grows bland, and this is coming from a big fan of The Who. I personally think everything they did in the 1970s is a lot better, even Who Are You. It just doesn't have the same energy, but I'm thankful for the album because they found their new sound from preforming it live.

The Wall is still better.

I haven't listened to Tommy all that much, but I like a lot more of the songs on The Wall than Tommy. Mother, the Another Brick in the Walls, Hey You, Comfortably Numb and The Trial are some of my favorite Pink Floyd songs, but Pinball Wizard was the one of the few songs that really stood out to me, but I know I need to listen to it more. I like the idea of The Wall better though.

Tommy by a lot.

In response to Dean, I really don't think it grows bland. I prefer it to the other Who albums I own.

That's fine. I know them all pretty well.
But I know sometimes I must get out in the light.
Better leave her behind with the kids, they're alright.

I actually think Run Like Hell is by far the worst song on the album..that's just me

Meh..it has nothing to do with the story, it's boring, and it just sticks out. It's just pure filler

I have not heard Tommy yet although I think I may have it in the form of a burnt CD copy. The Wall's concept is brilliant. It has a lot of great music but some of it is filler in my opinion (i.e. Bring The Boys Back Home, Stop).

No, stop is in no way filler. It's essential because in the story, it's what triggers the climax of the story (The trial) if anything is filler, it's Run Like Hell :sleep1:
