The worthless statists. I'd reccommend you learn of communism from people who do not believe that the proletariat is incapable of leading a proletarian revolution. Or that a massive buearucratic state controlling the means of production will somehow bring us to a stateless, classless society. |

But the proletariat IS incapable of leading a proletarian revolution. Have you SEEN the state of the working class today? They couldn't give a shit about politics, never mind rising up and having a revolution. The only people who are communists these days are middle class college students. |

well, due to U.S imperialism the burden of capitalism isn't felt very strongly on the shoulders of the American proletariat. Hence the reason we will see no revolutionary change in this country for some time. If the conditions were different, the working class will be even more revolutionary then those professed 'Communists', as was proven during the Russian revolution. The only thing the vangaurds ever managed was suppresion of trade unions and worker's democracy. |

The Russian Revolution wasn't a mass uprising of the working class, it was a small revolution led by a group of middle class idealists. Most of the people in the country didnt have a clue what was going on. |

Adolf Hitler We aren't even allowed in Cuba, we couldn't go there if we wanted to (Who would anyway?). Castro sucks. When a group of U.S. sports fishermen recently broke the law by casting their lines in Cuba, they never expected to get in trouble for it. But federal officials were waiting for them in Canada when they stepped off a plane from Havana. Each member of the group later received a shock in the mail -- letters from the U.S. Treasury Department threatening each with a $7,500 fine. Unlucky as it might seem, the fishermen, whose case is pending, were just one example of a new trend in the 38-year-old embargo against Cuba. Lawyers and civil rights groups say hundreds of Americans, from scuba divers to cigar aficionados, are being slapped with fines as the Bush administration clamps down on violations of the so-called "Cuba travel ban." http://www.ibike.org/cuba/ofac/010813-spt.htm |

That's a nice time, but it doesn't matter anyway. Cuba always has tropical weather, only in the winter it might get a little cooler and in the summer it's extraordinarily hot. That's the only difference. And it has nothing to do with the conversation anyway. |
