Ok! so i believe QUEEN is one of the greatest band sof the 70s, 80s, and 90s. They have maanged to stick together for 30 years, and even with the death of Freedie they have still managed to keep it together. They weere the same 4 members the whole 30 years and it was a remarkable carrer! What are some of youre favorite QUEEN songs, albums, concerts, and magical moments? |

I LOVE Queen =D They were the first classic rock band I ever remember loving! At the age of five I was captivated by Freddie Mercury's vocals and Brian May's distinct guitar sound, and 'Bohemian Rhapsody' was my favourite childhood song. I love 'A Night At The Opera', "Jazz", "The Game", "A Day At The Races, "Innuendo", among many other great albums. ^_^They're also amazing in concert, Freddie could really hold an audience, and he never ceases to amaze me with his insane outfits, haha, which of course are always a good laugh. And ahhh, that voice! Nothing like it. Love 'em!! =) |

EXACTLY the same. Only they were the second band I discovered. Like I was full-on obsessed with all of their stuff for such a long time. Lately I've rather neglected their music, sadly. But last week the family was driving to UCONN in Storrs, which is like an hour away, so I brought along Classic Queen 'cause that's always been one of my favorite discs for long car rides. And holy fuck, I completely forgot about how amazing it all was. Especially, 'The Show Must Go On', one of the most emotional pieces of music I've ever heard. Basically, it was Freddie's last song before he died. And it's all about how the show must go on and he's making peace with his death and everything before he dies. He was extremely weak at that time in his life, like really sick, and he gives one of the most amazing, stirring vocal performances of all time. Seriously, I get chills the entire length of the song. It's astounding. Queen was also one of the best live rock bands ever. My dad saw them back in the day. Live Killers and the Live at Wembley video are sick. EDIT: I see she mentioned the live thing. |

PBS is schedule to broadcast the Return Of The Champions concert on March 2. This is the groups collaboration with new lead singer, former singer of Bad Company, Paul Rodgers. "The Works" is one of my favorite albums from the band and "I Want It All", "Tie Your Mother Down", "One Vision", "Princes of The Universe", "Don't Stop Me Now" and "Headlong" are absolutely fabulous songs. I wore out my 7" single of "One Vision" trying to listen if they were really saying "fried chicken" at the song's end. The music added to the soundtrack of the movie "Highlander" from the "A Kind Of Magic" album is fantastic. I think alot of us would agree that Brian May is one of the most underated popular music guitarist and the group as a whole was so very good, indeed. Everybody has their least favorite- best song. Like "Stairway To Heaven" and "Hey Jude" are great songs but there are so many other songs that you would like to hear other than those. "Bohemian Rhapsody" is like "Stairway" to me. The song is played so often and is one of their most familiar but you would really rather hear about two dozen other of their great songs more often than "Bohemian Rhapsody" (thanks "Wayne's World") or "Another One Bites The Dust". |

Queen are my second favorite band. The only albums that I don't like are the Flash gordon soundtrack and Hot Space, pretty much. Queen have so many songs that are great album tracks that nobody knows. I have a live concert that I downloaded. Its form Houston in 1977. The sound quality is outstanding. Maybe I'll upload it one day, if you guys want. |
