Sorry for the long post, but if you read, it will be worth it. I belong to this music club called BMG, where you get CDs for cheap. I want people on here to take advantage of this awesome deal. Here's how it works: 1.) Pick any seven CDs from the website. Pay a shipping and handling charge for each pick. Shipping and handling is $2.79 each CD 2 CD and 3 CD sets count as 2 or 3 CDs. 2.) Buy a CD at "regular" club price. These are as "little" as $14.98, but most CDs are $17.98. Don't worry. It may seem like alot, but it evens out later. I recommend getting a double CD as your regular selection, to save some cash. A shipping and handling charge is added. 3.) Pick four more CDs for free. Shipping and handling is added to each CD. Here's the deal (Including S&H): Free CD 1: $2.79 Free CD 2: $2.79 Free CD 3: $2.79 Free CD 4: $2.79 Free CD 5: $2.79 Free CD 6: $2.79 Free CD 7: $2.79 Regular Club Price CD (8): $20.77 Free CD 9: $2.79 Free CD 10: $2.79 Free CD 11: $2.79 Free CD 12: $2.79 All of that equals $51.46. That's about $4.29 a CD. There's nothing more to buy after that. You can even cancel your account, if you want. PROS: - Huge savings - Promotions such as, "5.99 a CD" and "Free Shipping" - Clearance Items - CDs for $1.99 and 2 CD sets for $3.98 - 3, 4, and even 5-Packs of artists for a low price. For instance, a Billy Joel 5-Pack is 21.98 or a Nirvana 5-Pack is 24.98. - Music Points - Each CD that you buy for regular price earns you 3 Music Points. For every 18 music points, get a Free CD. - Pretty good selections from most of you favorite artists. (The Who, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, etc.) - Perfect CDs just like the ones you get in the store. CONS: - S&H is a bit steep - Takes over a week to get your CDs in the mail - You need to get somebody with a credit card. My brother does mine. - Only for people in the United States - Barely any Beatles (and solo), Floyd or Queen. They have some CDs like Abbey Road and the Wall, but you have to buy them full price. You can't get them as you're free selections or anything. I've spent: $19.53 on my first seven CDs $17.08 for what I "thought" was my regular priced CD, but it turns out I had to put a code in to buy the regular priced CD. $25.95 on 3 double disc sets on clearance. I put the code in (the one you put in to get your regular priced CD) and got a double disc CD. Apparently, that code gave me "Buy 1, Get 1 Free", so I snagged another double disc CD. This came out to $36.04. $11.16 on my last 4 free CDs Please ask any questions you'd like. Finally - the website. www.bmgmusic.com |

Yes of course many people will sign up to get the good deal on music but you soon find that their selection is not satisfying. I was a member several years ago and it just got to the point where I left because they just did not have enough of what I was collecting at the time. Sure, sign up, get your low cost 12 or whatever cds and then get the hell out. They will continue to send things in the mail until you have a change of address. |

Yeah. That was "several years ago". Now, they have a decent selection, and you just say that you don't want your featured selection. Than they won't send you stuff. And if they do, it's easy. Send it back. Oh well. |

Pretty good. I haven't bought anything for months, though. I also have to remember to not accept the "Featured Selection". If I don't, they'll just send me stuff I don't want. Anyway, I got twenty-three discs for $111.09 total, including shipping and handling. That comes out to $4.83 a disc. Among these were Ziggy Stardust by David Bowie, The Essential Clash (on clearance), BBC Sessions by Led Zeppelin, All The World's A Stage by Rush, and Layla by Derek & The Dominoes. Not too shabby. |

I subscribe to YourMusic.com instead. It's owned by BMG, but CD's are always $5.99 each ($11.98 for a 2-disc set, etc......leads to great deals like $59.99 for Complete Led Zeppelin).....and shipping is always free. You fill up your queue and have a CD sent to you each month at $5.99 a piece. You can also order CDs or box sets at anytime (same price, still free shipping). The only downside is you're charged $5.99 every month, even if you don't have a CD in your queue. But you can unsubscribe and resubscribe at anytime with no penalty. There's also a rumor that they're upping the price to $6.99 per CD (which I'm sure will happen at BMG too since it's the same company). Oh, and CD selection blows. |

My Beatles Trading Post (Updated Regularly) "George had just come off tour, I'd flown in specially from England, Ringo had flown in specially, too, I think, and John wouldn't show up! He wouldn't come from across the park! George got on the phone, yelled, 'Take those fucking shades off and come over here, you!' John still wouldn't come over. He had a balloon delivered with a sign saying, LISTEN TO THIS BALLOON. It was all quite far out." -Paul McCartney | |
