Yeah, "Telophone Line" is in Billy Madison and is on the ELO Greatest Hits CD. I Haven't heard much Neil Young, but this song is really good. It has a good beat, too. 8.5/10

I think we need some SLAYER in here. Do you think you can handle it? Don't complain about it either because it's, well, free. Here's the first song I've ever heard from Slayer, so I think I like it more than other people seem to like it. It's called "Skeletons of Society" from their 1990 album Seasons in the Abyss. I'm just trying to get some people (actually just TheSmashedGuitar and FlamingPieMan) familiar with some other types of music, which is what this thread was initially for, right?

"Skeletons of Society - Slayer"

(I have a slight feeling that this thread will go into another hiatus after this post. )

Pretty good. I liked the atmosphere and lyrics. Neil's voice isn't perfect, but it's fileld with that emotion you need from a vocalist. The beat and guitars were good. I liked it. 8/10

Meh. Slayer. My friend is a huge Slayer fan. This was ok. Bass was ok. The guitar riff was the same riff you hear in every frickin metal song today, which is why i don't lile metal much. Drumming was lame. I didn't like the vocals, but the lyrics were kinda good, but annoying at other points. Lead guitar was good. 6.5-7/10

(For some reason a lot board optiosn are messed up for my account so I have to give you the link bare.)

14 Years - I have this song somewhere, but I've never listened to it. It was during my crazy downloading binges, but anyway, this song is good. Very un-GNR. The piano is a pleasant surprise, and has a good rhythm. What could have made it better was a nice face-melter (SoR?) by our friend Slash. This one was sort of wimpy, I guess? I don't know. Good song. 8.5/10

Here is a band that my brother got me into. Their called Bad Brains. They were one of the first HARDCORE PUNK bands, and came out in the late seventies, early eighties, emerging from the Washington D.C. punk scene. They're also one of the only all-black punk bands, and one of the most influential punk bands ever. In addition to blistering punk tunes, they also whipped out several REGGAE joints. (No pun intended - well actually, pun intended.) Here is a one of my favorite songs ever from their second album, Rock For Light, called "I And I Survive". It's one of thier reggae songs. I'm no reggae expert or anything, but I love this song. You don't even have to like reggae to appreciate this gem.

A fairly famous song that I never would find out the name of. Thanks. This song is just straight-up rock & roll. Bruce Springsteen reminds me so much of New Jersey, which is where I live. :) :( 9/10

Here's some more Rush for you. It's from their 1978 album, Hemispheres, called "Circumstances".

Hate me, do it and do it again.
Just post every DATD song besides "Layla" and "Bellbottom Blues" to make Dean a happy camper. Because that song was AWESOMENESS SQUARED.

Here's a rare gem from Led Zeppelin, called Stairway to Heaven.

(Not really, it's a song by The Who called "Music Must Change".)

Nice song with a George Harrison flavor. Was that Steven Tyler? Good song. 8/10

Q. Why did Geddy Lee, Neil Peart, and Alex Lifeson cross the road?
A. To make this next song.

Here is Crossroads from Rush's latest studio recording. It's from the 2004 EP, Feedback, in which they covered songs that they loved when they were younger.

This song's just...not good. :O The vocals and guitar (The only two things in the song) were lacking very much. Good thing it was only two minutes. I'm sorry to announce the lowest ever rating in the history of Free Muzak of a whopping 4/10. (And I'm being nice.)

Here's the last Rush song (Big surprise, huh?) I'm going to post for a while to complete the threesome ( @_@ ). Don't complain that I'm posting too much Rush because it's free. Here's "Tears" (I'm a poet.) from Rush 1976 "breakthrough" 2112. You might have it already though, because 2112 is great.
