"White Christmas" is by far one of the best Christmas song ever. Bing Crosby's voice is amazing. "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" is another classic, as well as Jingle Bells (of course). I was upset not to see Nat King Cole on that list....he's one of my favorites..."Away in a Manger", "O Tannenbaum", "O Holy Night" , "Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire and "A Cradle In Bethlehem" are among some of his best. He's a fantastic singer, he should be on that list as well. |

*Warning* Jackass Alert "It's Hard To Be A Jew On Christmas" from South Park is pretty funny. Jimi Hendrix or I should say, those who are responsible for over marketing Jimi Hendrix release his versions of "Little Drummer Boy/Silent Night/Auld Lang Syne and also an extended version in 1999 that is kind of interesting for the first 10 listens. The more than two different remixes of Greg Lake/Emerson, Lake and Palmer song, "I Believe In Father Christmas" "2,000 Miles" from The Pretenders, "I Want A Hippopotomus For Christmas" by Gayla Peevey and "Same Old Lang Syne" from Dan Fogelberg are some good ones as well, though many do become ill at the opening piano strains of the somewhat sappy Fogelberg tune. ..."Second verse, same as the first. Dreidel, dreidel, dreidel I made you out of clay.." But I truly enjoy the traditional holiday songs performed by artists like The Ray Coniff Singers and others in that genre just as much as the "pop/rock and roll" artists. |

It's funny how you put John Lennons and Pauls right at the top, doesnt really give people a chance to scroll down and really look at the other songs. Happend to me, but actually I just saw John Lennons and emediatly voted for it...then I noticed we were supposed to pick 15! hahaha, oh well, Im satisfied. |
