Bell Bottom Blues Derek and the Dominos Bell bottom blues, you made me cry. I don't want to lose this feeling. And if I could choose a place to die It would be in your arms. Do you want to see me crawl across the floor to you? Do you want to hear me beg you to take me back? I'd gladly do it because I don't want to fade away. Give me one more day, please. I don't want to fade away. In your heart I want to stay. It's all wrong, but it's all right. The way that you treat me baby. Once I was strong but I lost the fight. You won't find a better loser. Chorus Chorus Bell bottom blues, don't say goodbye. I'm sure we're gonna meet again, And if we do, don't you be surprised If you find me with another lover. Chorus I don't want to fade away. Give me one more day please. I don't want to fade away. In your heart I long to stay. It's ALL in the way Eric Clapton sings it; some of the most impassioned vocals I've EVER heard. This was when he was stuck in a deep depression he couldn't get out of and also desperately in love with Pattie... |

Love Will Tear Us Apart, Again
|
This song is so beautiful. Zeppelin at their best, and extreamely underrated as well. Thank You By Led Zeppelin (Led Zeppelin II) If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you. When mountains crumble to the sea, There will still be you and me. Kind woman, I give you my all, Kind woman, nothing more. Little drops of rain whisper of the pain, Tears of loves lost in the days gone by. My love is strong, with you there is no wrong, Together we shall go until we die. My, my, my, An inspiration is what you are to me, Inspiration, look see. And so today, my world it smiles, Your hand in mine, we walk the miles, Thanks to you it will be done, For you to me are the only one. Happiness, no more be sad, Happiness....I'm glad. If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you. When mountains crumble to the sea, There will still be you and me. |

John Mellencamp - "Little Pink Houses" There’s a black man with a black cat Living in a black neighbourhood He’s got an interstate runnin’ through his front yard You know, he think, that he’s got it so good And there’s a woman in the kitchen cleanin’ up the evening slop And he looks at her and says: hey darling, I can remember when you could stop a clock Oh but ain’t that america for you and me Ain’t that america we’re someting to see baby Ain’t that america, home of the free Little pink houses for you and me Well there’s a young man in a t-shirt Listening to a rockin’ rollin’ station He’s got a greasy hair, greasy smile He says: lord, this must be my destination ’cuz they told me, when I was younger Boy, you’re gonna be president But just like everyting else, those old crazy dreams Just kinda came and went Oh but ain’t that america for you and me Ain’t that america we’re someting to see baby Ain’t that america, home of the free Little pink houses for you and me Well there’s people and more people What do they know know know Go to work in some high rise And vacation down at the gulf of mexico Ohhh yeah And there’s winners, and there’s losers But they ain’t no big deal ’cuz the simple man baby pays for the thrills, The bills and the pills that kill Oh but ain’t that america for you and me Ain’t that america we’re someting to see baby Ain’t that america, home of the free Little pink houses for you and me Oh but ain’t that america for you and me Ain’t that america we’re someting to see baby Ain’t that america, home of the free Little pink houses for you and me |

Some of Syd's most cleaver lyrics... Syd Barrett "Here I Go" This here's a story 'bout a girl that I knew She didn't like my songs and that made me feel blue She said a big band is far better than you... She don't rock n roll, she don't like it She don't do the stroll, well, she don't do it right Well everything's wrong and my patience was gone When I woke one morning and remembered this song Oh oh oh, kind of catchy I hope she will talk to me now and Even allow me to hold her hand And forget that old band I strolled around to her pad Her light was off, and that's bad Her sister said that my girl was gone "But come inside boy, and play, play play me a song" I said "yeah, here I go" She's kinda cute, don't ya know that after a while of seeing her smile I knew we could make it, make it in style So now I've got all I need She and I are in love, we've agreed She likes this song and my others too So now you see my world is... 'Cause of this tune What a boon, this tune I tell you soon We'll be lying in bed, happily wed And I won't think of that girl and what she said... |

King Crimson's always had brilliant lyrics, and I think most fans overlook that fact. The ones from their debut are particularly awe-inspiring. The title track is simply majestic in the wordplay it induces, depicting a tale of... Well, a medieval scene with a "Crimson King". The Court of the Crimson King The rusted chains of prism moons Are shattered by the sun. I walk a road, horizons change The tournament's begun. The purple piper plays his tune, The choir softly sing; Three lullabies in an ancient tongue, For the court of the crimson king. The keeper of the city keys Put shutters on the dreams. I wait outside the pilgrim's door With insufficient schemes. The black queen chants the funeral march, The cracked brass bells will ring; To summon back the fire witch To the court of the crimson king. The gardener plants an evergreen Whilst trampling on a flower. I chase the wind of a prism ship To taste the sweet and sour. The pattern juggler lifts his hand; The orchestra begin. As slowly turns the grinding wheel In the court of the crimson king. On soft gray mornings widows cry The wise men share a joke; I run to grasp divining signs To satisfy the hoax. The yellow jester does not play But gently pulls the strings And smiles as the puppets dance In the court of the crimson king. |

Money, get away. Get a good job with good pay and you're okay. Money, it's a gas. Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash. New car, caviar, four star daydream, Think I'll buy me a football team. Money, get back. I'm all right Jack keep your hands off of my stack. Money, it's a hit. Don't give me that do goody good bullshit. I'm in the high-fidelity first class traveling set And I think I need a Lear jet. Money, it's a crime. Share it fairly but don't take a slice of my pie. Money, so they say Is the root of all evil today. But if you ask for a raise it's no surprise that they're giving none away. Also my favorite Syd song.... Octopus Trip to heave and ho, up down, to and fro' you have no word trip, trip to a dream dragon hide your wings in a ghost tower sails cackling at every plate we break cracked by scattered needles the little minute gong coughs and clears his throat madam you see before you stand hey ho, never be still the old original favorite grand grasshoppers green Herbarian band and the tune they play is "In Us Confide" so trip to heave and ho, up down, to and fro' you have no word Please leave us here close our eyes to the octopus ride! Isn't it good to be lost in the wood isn't it bad so quiet there, in the wood meant even less to me than I thought with a honey plough of yellow prickly seeds clover honey pots and mystic shining feed... well, the madcap laughed at the man on the border hey ho, huff the Talbot "Cheat" he cried shouting kangaroo it's true in their tree they cried Please leave us here close our eyes to the octopus ride! The madcap laughed at the man on the border hey ho, huff the Talbot the winds they blew and the leaves did wag they'll never put me in their bag the seas will reach and always seep so high you go, so low you creep the wind it blows in tropical heat the drones they throng on mossy seats the squeaking door will always squeak two up, two down we'll never meet so merrily trip forgo my side Please leave us here close our eyes to the octopus ride! |

Lemon Demon - "The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny" Old Godzilla was hopping around Tokyo City like a big playground when suddenly Batman burst from the shade and hit Godzilla with a Batgrenade Godzilla got pissed and began to attack but didn't expect to be blocked by Shaq who proceeded to open up a can of Shaq Fu when Aaron Carter came out of the blue and he started beating up Shaquille O'Neal then they both got flattened by the Batmobile but before it could make it back to the Batcave Abraham Lincoln popped out of his grave and took an AK47 out from under his hat and blew Batman away with a rat-a-tat-tat but he ran out of bullets and he ran away because Optimus Prime came to save the day this is the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny good guys, bad guys, and explosions as far as the eye can see and only one will survive, I wonder who it will be this is the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny Godzilla took a bite out of Optimus Prime like Scruff McGruff took a bite out of crime and then Shaq came back covered in a tire track but Jackie Chan jumped out and landed on his back and Batman was injured, and trying to get steady when Abraham Lincoln came back with a machete but suddenly something caught his leg and he tripped Indiana Jones took him out with his whip then he saw Godzilla sneaking up from behind and he reached for his gun which he just couldn't find 'cause Batman stole it and he shot and he missed and Jackie Chan deflected it with his fist then he jumped in the air and did a summersault while Abraham Lincoln tried to pole vault onto Optimus Prime, but they collided in the air then they both got hit by a Care Bear Stare, oooh this is the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny good guys, bad guys, and explosions as far as the eye can see and only one will survive, I wonder who it will be this is the Ultimate Showdown... angels sang out in immaculate chorus down from the heavens descended Chuck Norris who deliver a kick which could shatter bones into the crotch of Indiana Jones who fell over on the ground, writhing in pain as Batman changed back into Bruce Wayne but Chuck saw through his clever disguise and he crushed Batman's head in between his thighs then Gandalf the Grey and Gandalf the White and "Monty Python and the Holy Grail"'s Black Knight and Benito Mussolini and The Blue Meanie and Cowboy Curtis and Jambi the Genie Robocop, the Terminator, Captain Kirk, and Darth Vader Lo Pan, Superman, every single Power Ranger Bill S. Preston and Theodore Logan, Spock, The Rock, Doc Ock, and Hulk Hogan all came out of no where lightning fast and they kicked Chuck Norris in his cowboy ass it was the bloodiest battle the world ever saw with civilians looking on total awe and the fight raged on for a century many lives were claimed, but eventually the champion stood, the rest saw their better: Mr. Rogers in a bloodstained sweater this is the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny good guys, bad guys, and explosions as far as the eye can see and only one will survive, I wonder who it will be this is the Ultimate Showdown... this is the Ultimate Showdown... this is the Ultimate Showdown... of Ultimate Destiny |

Love Will Tear Us Apart, Again

"Sweet Child O' Mine"-Guns N' Roses She's got a smile that it seems to me Reminds me of childhood memories Where everything Was as fresh as the bright blue sky Now and then when I see her face She takes me away to that special place And if I stared too long I'd probably break down and cry Sweet child o' mine Sweet love of mine She's got eyes of the bluest skies As if they thought of rain I hate to look into those eyes And see an ounce of pain Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place Where as a child I'd hide And pray for the thunder And the rain To quietly pass me by Sweet child o' mine Sweet love of mine Where do we go Where do we go now Where do we go Sweet child o' mine |

I don't know if you know this or not but the song is actually called "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35" Strange I know, must have been stoned. "But i would not feel so all alone, everybody must get stoned!" Hahah great. My favorite song of all time however is another Bob Dylan song. Hey Mr. Tambourine Man. " Then take me disappearin' through the smoke rings of my mind, Down the foggy ruins of time, far past the frozen leaves, The haunted, frightened trees, out to the windy beach, Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow. Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free, Silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands, With all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves, Let me forget about today until tomorrow. Hey! Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me, I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to. Hey! Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me, In the jingle jangle morning I'll come followin' you." And don't listen to the shitty Byrds version, they ruin it. Something is lost in with out the rough edges of dylans voice in the "commercialized" Byrds version. |
