http://www.digitaldreamdoor.com/pages/best_guitarsolo.html Its from this website, and my friend and I couldnt decide what we thought, so I thought I'd ask you guys. It's in order of how they ranked 1-25 but you dont have to vote for the one in number one, even though I am. Choose four Mine are: Comfortably numb and Time by Mr Gilmour Layla by Mr Clapton Voodoo Child (Slight return) Mr Hendrix |

That list sucks arse. Where's The Beatles? "Free Bird" sucks cock. I went with "All Along The Watchtower" "Stairway To Heaven" "Voodoo Child" and other: The "I'm Only Sleeping", backwards guitar solo. |

Where are the Beatles? "I Feel Fine", "WMGGW", "Day Tripper", "Taxman", "Drive My Car", I could go on and on. As for the list, "All Along The Watchtower" and "Voodoo Child" are my two favorites. The rest goes to the Beatles. They have sooo many great solos. |

Freebird is sweet, OK? It's like the ultimate dual guitar jam solo. And, yes, "While My Guitar" should definitely be up there. |

Gilmour's solos in Time and Comfortably Numb were a given. But in other, I give my votes to Yes guitarist Steve Howe's solo in "Yours is No Disgrace", and just about every single fucking guitar solo by Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson (He's got one in almost every single song :F) |

Not a bad little list of adequate guitarists and their solos. Of course it is very subjective and controversial and impossible to list so many great guitar pieces. I will say that the solo from The Knack's "My Sharona" is brilliant and the guitar work of Hendrix's song "Midnight" is one of his best. Thanks for including the always overlooked Mr. Jeffrey Beck. His solos always either sizzle or are quiet smooth. His solo in Bon Jovi's "Blaze Of Glory" is always ignored along with about 20 other great solos in his songs or with Rod Stewart, Box Of Frogs, Yardbirds and so many others. Guys don't give too much grief for not including your favorites like Alex Lifeson, Jerry Cantrell, Martin Barre or Mark Knopfler. There are always going to be more polls and discussions about guitarists to fight about. |

Hate me, do it and do it again.

Comfortably Numb was the only one on the list I really enjoy, so I also clicked other. Three of my other faves are; Communication Breakdown by Led Zeppelin Heaven and Hell [Live] by the Who Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) [Live] by Stevie Ray Vaughan EDIT: AND NO CROSSROADS BY CREAM? Shame. |

I DID NOT CHOOSE THE LIST, ITS FROM A WEBSITE For those asking where songs are. I only put the top 25 to stop the bloody long list it would have been. |

Well, I hate Lynard Skynard, I live in the shitty southern US where basically everybody worships them, and I get a lot of kids at school, who say The Beatles suck, and that AC/DC and Lynard are better. The Beatles beat the shit out of LS and AC/DC. |

Clearly, but under the surface LS and AC/DC are in fact great bands with loads of talent. Predetermined notions and opinions about music don't get you anywhere, man. |

Also "Free Bird" gives me a damn headache every time I listen to it. LS are a couple of no talent arseclowns. That damn song is played every time I go to the bowling alley, that and "Sweet Home Alabama" *Yuck* Lynard Shitturd, is a perfect name for them. |
