(Inspired by a question asked to Steve Vai in Guitar World magazine). If you could choose 4 people in the history of rock and roll to erect in a Mount Rushmore of your own vision, who would they be? If you don't know what Mount Rushmore is, go look in something called a book. Or Wikipedia. Whatever. My choices: Roger Waters (Cause he's such a fucking genius, man :F) Jim Morrison (That one's a given; Poetry + Great showmanship = Instant choice) George Harrison (Such a spiritual man :o) And probably Jon Anderson (Singer of Yes as well as a fantastic poet). Ah and one more thing: THIS BETTER NOT TURN INTO A TOPIC FILLED WITH SEX. >:o |

Well, it would start out with John and Paul. Then George would push for more space. The Mount Rushmore versions of John and Paul would get mad, and make George's space smaller. After that, Ringo would claim a little space. John would claim a little space for Yoko. Paul eventually would want it all to himself. The mountain falls apart into 4 different pieces. The mountain never to be matched by any other. Hehe. |

Most of you are thinking of your monument in a specifically personal way. The faces you choose are what you would hope for. Another way of thinking of what faces should be cast in stone is probably the thinking of the Mount Rushmore monument. You need representations of men who founded the music and created change and were influential for the betterment like those of Mt. Rushmore Bill Haley or Chuck Berry as the founders of rock and roll. Much like George Washington is represented on Mt. Rushmore Then we can go with someone like Dylan or Lennon Jimi Hendrix Elvis Presley So my choices would be: Bill Haley Elvis Presley John Lennon Jimi Hendrix |
