Are You Experienced, The Velvet Underground and Nico and The Doors seem to be the three big choices many are going with, and they'd also be my first three choices. There's obviously some great debut albums by artists that have gone solo like John Lennon, but it almost seems unfair putting them in the poll. Freak out is another amazing debut album, and two albums that I don't think anyone has mentioned so far are Leonard Cohen's "The songs of Leonard Cohen" and Black Sabbath's self titled album. I guess if I had to choose my personal favourite debut album in history I'd have to with The Velvet Underground and Nico. |
