The Beatles weren't the best at everything they did. Their debut is good but not as essential as others.

"Best" debut. Not essential. Best is really a matter of opinion here. It's hard to argue that it wasn't as essential as the others. Any album that tops the charts for 50 weeks (2 weeks shy of 1 year) straight is bound to have incredible influence.

actually ppm + wtb charted for 51 weeks, 30 for ppm, and 21 for with the beatles..but yeah a combined 51 weeks

That's right, I knew they had nearly a year of domination. Well anyway, PPM is very essential.

thats irrelevant. the point is that her debut album isn't a joke, nor a flop. SO NO i WASN'T KIDDING ABOUT IT BEING A GREAT DEBUT ALBUM!! You kids on this site love to type shit and get into little petty arguements, but you never stay on topic. it doesn't matter that alot of other artists have acclaimed debut albums (although its great for them, and great they're making a difference in music) but its nothing to do with these two particular artists. Which was the discussion at hand. Get with it come on!! The least you could do is prove to me other wise that PPM and CBR weren't fantastic debut albums. But you can't even do that.

He's just going through that phase we all went through where The Beatles were the best thing ever in the Universe and everything else is worthless.

But musically, it isn't the best debut. And in terms of importance, their singles of the time were more important than that album, in my opinion.

Oh, well since you haven't convinced me that either of their debuts are what you say they are, I'm just follow by your example of stating opinion rather than fact.

Besides, my post was still pertaining to debut albums, how is it "off topic"?
