Could it possibly be that I don't agree with Rolling Stone all the time? Favorite Beatles Album: The White Album. Best according to Rolling Stone: Sgt Pepper. OMFGLAWLSZWTFZ

And I have plenty more examples in case you have any more snide comebacks for me.

I'll just use the ever popular excuse that it "was a joke".

I'd rather have someone un-biased analyze them, thanks though.

I'm unbaised.......

Anyway, I think DSOTM is balanced but I think WYWH is the best album proportianlly speaking. But I love Daves vocals on DSOTM. I think if it was anyother way it wouldnt be as great or successful. I mean when I heard Roger singing some of Daves parts at the Rog tour it jsut wasnt the same, but then when you hear Dave sing rogers parts its not great either.

All in all Piper is a great album and by far the one most on the rails, bless you syd.
...and somebody spoke and I went into a dream....

My favourite is Atom Heart Mother, but I'm not voting. I refuse to honour a poll that doesn't include AMLOR and TDB.

But The Final Cut sure as hell is a Floyd album, just forget the fact Roger sings every song but one as well as wrote them all.

Oh, wait. That makes no sense.

Damn, I need to take a class in Eric Logic.

I'm pretty sure I hear drums and keyboards on AMLOR.

You're just a biased Roger fan and won't admit it, so whatever.

No, Rick wasn't on it at all. Nick was on it but not as a regular band member. He was among about 40 other session musicians on the record. It was basically a David solo album. And what would you know? You've only heard the record like once..so you have no idea what the hell you're talking about.

And I may be a Roger fan, but who cares? we all have our biases, don't pretend like you're not biased in ways when it comes to different music

Check out albums like Pet Sounds, where so many different people went into the production besides just the band themselves. It's not like they're going to make an album by the band "David Gilmour and 40 Other People", it was still by Pink Floyd, just without the original bassist and lyric writer. Bands like AC/DC released their biggest albums after their original frontman died, it's not like they re-named the band just because of it.

Pink Floyd put their name on it. Even though the band was in a different iteration at that point, it says Pink Floyd on it. I'm pretty sure that qualifies as a Pink Floyd album.

Problem is, Pink Floyd never was set to a specific template. They never sounded the same. On the contrary, if you showed someone Piper and then Animals, they would never guess it was the same band.

I mean, if you play like me, you had better have your own band. Nobody wants that amount of participation from a bass player.

David put Floyd's name on it, other than that, I agree
