ALAIN CLARK - Live It Out![]() Well you don’t get too many internationally famous music stars from Holland, but Alain Clark is determined to change that. And he’s decided to achieve his aim with a very old fashioned soul album. Something I heartily approve of. Except old fashioned to someone of his age means the eighties! Of course you need to have the chops and the voice to pull that off, and Mr Clark doesn’t quite have either just yet. He is a good singer and on some songs like 'Father & Friend', 'This Ain't Gonna Work' and 'Fell In Love', he shows that he could have what it takes. He’s a bit too fond of going off into a Michael Jackson falsetto at the drop of a hat, but I’m sure once he finds his feet, he’ll become his own man. I just hope the short-termism of the record industry doesn’t toss him aside too soon. Buy @ Amazon |
