Nickelback - Gotta Be Somebody![]() The return of Nickelback after the seven times platinum release "All the Right Reasons" has almost been overshadowed by the return to rock of Robert John "Mutt" Lange after his lengthy country / pop crossover with ex Shania Twain. You'd have thought that after the ludicrous and belated success of 'Rockstar' that Nickelback might have been tempted to try for more of the same, but the much maligned ones are having none of that, as they turn out a tune that would have fitted on any of their previous releases, and bar some clunky keyboard riffs makes you wonder why they bothered with Mutt. It's by the book Nickelback and doesn't deviate one iota from the sound so beloved by millions. Hell, AC/DC have been making the same album for hundreds of years, why not Nickelback. Their fans will love the song and the sentiment, but will probably hold off for the "Dark Horse" album, what with the B-side being the previously released Elton John cover, 'Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting).
