The Brent Flood - EP

Posted Image

Well I wouldnae go around admitting that I'd supported James Blunt, but I would have enjoyed seeing the confusion on the faces of early arriving Blunt fans.

For although The Brent Flood have melodies to spare, there's is a spiky, left of centre melodicism, often at war with itself, especially on eepee highlight 'Burn'. Mind you, they've been at this for nigh on 10 years, so I would hope they had a hang on it by now.

They namecheck Jeff Buckley and British Sea Power, while sounding like neither, but fans of the latter looking for something to hum will enjoy, especially 'Lifebelt'.
