Howling Bells - Low Happening

Posted Image

People sometimes accuse me of being a harsh critic, something I constantly refute. Until. I hear a record so devoid of any value that I instantly feel pangs of guilt for other artists I have maligned in the past. So, I apologise.

And this record is one of those ones, a lumbering hybrid pastiche of Joy Division and Siouxsie & The Banshees. Atonal singing, musicians only vaguely aware of what their instruments are for ("which way round does this go, guv"), it's truly horrible.

I'd like to say the Forward Russia remix is better but that would be confusing the word 'better' with a car backfiring. Which is what seems to constitute a remix in this evil, evil world. Odious.
