Tawn - Smile if You Know What's Good For You![]() It's Blaggers ITA, innit? For those of you unfamiliar with the lesser known punk / hiphop hybrid, the Blaggers took the Clash, mixed it up with some hippity hop and aggression, then proceeded to tear up every toilet on the UK tour circuit. Of course, that was a long time ago, and their records were of 'selective' interest. But now, there's a new Blaggers, and their name is Tawn. A shite name, to be sure, but a good noise. The Midlands based outfit have put together a nice little collection of tunes that, while not breaking boundaries, makes me yearn for the days when the Cas Rock in Edinburgh still existed. The days of sweaty dives, sweaty bere and swaety women. It's a sound designed for a live venue, and I'm convinced that Twan really know how to rock out on stage. It's designed for being eighteen and jumping around with 'Rollercoaster', 'Come Into The Hood' and 'Here We Are' making a decent case for resurrecting rap rock. http://www.soundclick.com/tawn |
