I've extracted the model files from Age of Empires III with the hope of importing them into ZT2, however they are in .gr2 format. Any ideas on how I can change that? |

Are they for objects or animals? And have you been able to open up the files to see what's in them? Without having done it myself, so this is all guesswork: http://aoe3.heavengames.com/cgi-bin/forums...f=14,25313,,all says GMax can use this viewer/importer. If Gmax isn't your preferred tool, import into Gmax and export the mesh as a .obj. .Obj is universal across most 3D animation/modelling programs so you'll have a choice of what you want to edit it with. Then you'll have to treat it as if you'd made a new mesh from scratch, I think. If the gr2 contains animation and texture, I wouldn't be sure how to get those out. I'd suggest getting the programs and having a play? |
