I mede a new animal using the Short Finned Pilot Whale, I followed Mad Heads tutorial and in NIFSkope I copied the NiTriShapeData from the edited to the orginal save the file of a new NIF file for the game. I did another animal the Dugong, I remeshed the tail and that one worked, I didn't have to make a new skin for it either. I didnt make a new skin for the new Whale I made but I dunno if I needed to becauce the skin from the Pilot Whale wraps around nicely with the new whale. Now that I got all that done, I did the coding and all that. The problem I'm having is when I select the animal in the game it crashes, what could be the problem? IBA |

There might not be a problem with the mesh, it could just be a coding error in the ai located in the entities forlder. Double check your coding, the problem could be there. |

I think Sorko means the XML AI files (ie, Elephant.xml, Elephant_Adult.xml, Elephant_Adult_F.xml, etc...). This problem has happened to me before. Try double checking the BFM files, making sure the model and the <graph> tag both correspond to your animal. |
