Hi, I am a very inexperienced designer, so I'm not really sure if this is a coding question or a meshing question.. I wanted to create some tall rocks so that I could use them as a backdrop to exhibits, so that my zoo exhibits would look like those in real zoos. I used the medium savannah rock as my base and meshed a new taller and naorrower version. I put the keeper and giraffe in the picture so that you could get an idea of the size of the tall rock. I think they look pretty good. That's an original medium rock in front, so you can see how my new rock compares to the original. ![]() Problem is that when I zoom in, or go into guest mode, the rocks flatten out and return to thier original size. Any idea what file or files I would have to edit to prevent that from happening. ![]() If I can get this to work, then I want to make versions for each of the biomes. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. |

Basically the game uses what are called LODs (Level of Detail) which changes the model to more simplistic versions as you zoom out. Anyways, in nifskope if you can select Render > Show Hidden and they will appear and you can replace them with your meshed model. |

Thanks Penquinman ! When I click Show Hidden the original rock shows up along with my new mesh. Not quite sure how to replace the original LODs with my mesh. Have been poking around with nifskope for awhile now trying to figure it out. This seems similar to the issue Flame and Shadow is having with the polar bear still showing up on his zulu statue when he selects Show Hidden. |

Just repeat exactly how you imported it the first time, but this time clicking on one of the hidden original models and importing over that one instead. |

I used nifskope. Never quite figured out how to solve the problem I was having. I might add this to wishlists. I really want some tall rocks too, but ones that don't take up too much space. |
