"Step 3)
Open your animals model in NifSkope again, go to Render in the tool bar. Select 'Show Hidden' The animals old shape should appear underneath the new shape. Keeping NifSkope open, open the model again in a separate window. Now click on the edited model in the first window. On the left hand bar, go down from NiTriShape to NiTriShapeData, right click the line, and select Block, Remove. You should now only have the original model. Edit that the same way as in Step 2. Now right click on the NiTriShapeData for this model, and select Block, Copy. Go into the second window which should have both the new model and the original model. Using the numbers at the far left of the left hand box, find the same NiTriShapeData in the second window as you copied from in the first window. Right click on the line when you find it, and click on Block, Paste Over. The model will have changed, but there will be a third model. Go into the first window, and select the edited model, and on the NiTriShapeData, click Block, Remove. Now edit the third model in the same way, and copy it over into the second window. That should be all three resolutions edited. Now save, and test the animal. When you zoom out, the model should be edited all the way. Congratulations if it worked!"

This was taken from a tutorial using Nifscope.I am confused on what to do after removing the block since it says to edit a NiTriShapeData again when now there is not one anywhere that i can see. The only thing I can find thats similar with the verticies is NiTriStripsData. Is that the right one to edit?

Yes tutorials are always confusing, even the best ones.

Here is a little diagram on finding the NiTriShapeData block.

Click where the red circles are and then click NiTriShapeData and you should be there.

Hope this is right.
