well, go to your animals folder and go into entities, then make a folder called "sound". Then you get your animals sound xml. replace the name with yours, then go into the sound file. as an example, it'll look like this: <BF3DSndFactory name="WolfGray_Adult_Bark"> <snd name="entities/units/animals/WolfGray/sound/WolfGray_Adult_F_Bark.wav" volume="1" mindist="8" maxdist="50"/> you need to change the codename "WolfGray_Adult_Bark"> to "NewGuineaSingingDog_Adult_Bark">. only change the code with an " in front and behind it. you won't be able to just replace all, so it'll take a while if your animal has a lot of sounds like the wolf. |

A way to shorten the replacement, however, is to replace:
With
So that it will only replace the codename that follows the quotation mark

Please don't double post, someone will respond to your questions as soon as they're able to! ![]() You need to edit the animalcodename.xml file that is located in the entities/sound folder. Moved to coding help forum! |
