Hello everyone, I'm trying to add the hollow tree stump to the list of items my new animal can use. I've been looking at the giant panda BEH files as I know that animal can use this item, plus I've been looking at the tsk files in the hollowtreestump ia/tasks/shelters but I cannot figure out which bits of coding to copy and stick into the new animals coding (or where in the BEH files of the new animal to put it). All the shelters seem to be called 'shelter1' - 'shelter6' so I don't know which bit refers to the shelter i want. any help would be great as I've often wondered how to do this and the 'animal attribute' and 'animal behaviour' tutorials don't seem to cover it. thanks =) I'm doing this for my umbreon who now has a changed biome to suit it better than the desert one it was in

In an animal that uses the hollow log, go to the main xml and search for hollow and find the tag related to it and put that in the main xml of the new animal. If it still doens't work, post again

I took the code from the giant panda file and put it into the main xml in amongst the other shelters but still no usage, they go to sleep under plants. They know its there, because when I place them they 'investigate' and 'look' at them but no useage unfortunatly. It also does not appear in the zookeeper recommends box =( |

Sadly i don't jhave access to any files right now, but first off can you paste the coding that you added to the xml file here (include some code before and after the inserted text) so I can ensure you put it in right? Second, in the beh of an animal that does use the stump, search for hollow and tell me if anything comes up. |

Ok that coding looks fine. Does your animal have the shelter 1-6 coding in it? |

yes, it is word for word the same as in the giant panda coding, with entering and exiting coding shelters 1-6 |

ive been trying to get that shelter to work for my raccoon too. no luck though. the elevated nest box won't show up either. <_< ill let you know if i get a break through! and skin looks great btw
