Ok so far everything sounds good.

Can you please save the edited nif somewhere else as a back up, and take the original nif, do not edit it, just rename it and put it in the folder. Then test it and tell me what happens. Do you understand?

What about the bfb and model files? Did you edit them in notepad/notepad++?

Well Penguinman, I moved my .nif files and replaced them with unedited files, but the same thing as before happend.

And as for opening model files with notepad Dinosaur, you can open them with it, but I don't know if it edits them right.

model files should be opened with a hex editor or NIFSkope. I hear I'm old fashioned when I say use WinHex, but you can use it for free, and its pretty straightforward. Don't use Notepad, it won't save it correctly.

Ok thanks, but do you know what's wrong with my Tarbosaurus? I followed A.C.T., A.P.E. 2, the Common Animal Problems, and Penguinman's advice, but it is still not working! :(

As Penguinman stated, its definitely a problem with the model files, whether they be bfb or nif. Make sure in these files you are only replacing the original name where it is preceded by .dds - replacing it everywhere in those files definitely makes it not work right! I would check any of your files that references the .nif / .bfb and make sure that those links are correct. Places like the xml files and the bfm files. If even ONE of those links are not correct, the animal will be broken. Unfortunately making animals is hard work and its usually a matter of just overlooking something seemingly small.

Search for .bfm in the xml files and make sure the links are accurate.

Wait a minute....is it possible that other problems can be connceted with the invisiable model? I have three known problems in my Tarbosaurus:

(1) The animal is invisiable (we already know that!)

(2) The zoopedia works, except the animal icon which shows both genders is the female T. rex icon.

(3) In the info adoption panel, the location map is white with no name when it's suposed to be the desert_aisa_central.dds map and named; Central Aisa.

Could there be a conncetion with any of the three problems?

Did you place all the files in their right places? I didn't use any Hex editor to code .bfb's - I use Notepad++ and all of my extinct animals work properly ( ex. dwarf elephants, torosaurus, ground sloths, dromaeosaurus, extinct canids, Beringian lion) and a red fox (this one uses warrah model)
The nif or bfb is not properly coded/edited. I've also made a tarbosaurus and it works.

I've tied that already, and it didn't work. Maybe you shoud look at it, and see whats wrong for yourselfs. I have the link to the Tarbosaurus below, if anyone would like to look at that. If you could, it would be most helpful!

Yes, the download has all the files for it to work in the game. The only thing I have not done is edit the color of the icons and skins of the animal, and update the zoopedia, which I plan to do after the invisiabliy and crashing problem is solved.

I just can't fiigure this out! According to all the animal tutorials, it should work. I've read, and reread, and reread those tutorials over, and over again, but it's always the same result as before! Has anyone found out what wrong yet?
