Hi! I want to make a new music rock, because i noticed the music it should play is in the file so i was thinking of making a new music rock which would play some japanese zen music for japanese themed zoos. But i can't find the dds file for the texture for the endangered themed rock, I looked in the nif file and all i could find is "objects_end.dds" and foliage_end.dds" which i dont think are the right textures....I want to know as well if making this new music rock is possible. thanks |

Those are indeed the right textures, they are located in x100_000.z2f/shared ![]() Do you have the music and in what format is it? |

Nah don't have the music yet but i assume it has to wav, i was thinking of "mizuho" theme from the tales of symphonia game tho! and to me these dds in the shared file looked more related to other objects such as restrooms and food stands well ill see what i can do!

Doesnt even appear in the game...i did'nt change the name of the dds the nif is looking for just to see if the rest works first but it foesnt didnt recolor either just concentrated on the coding part. Im trying to attach the file but for some reason it takes ages thinking about it (its 4mo) so i give up. |

I started the project from scatch again now and changed model. I choose the marine mania musical rock. Everything works now apart for 2 things: Can't figure out how to make it play new music (i did add new music in the sound folder as wav, named it the same as the default one, but still plays the default marine theme song somehow). 2nd problem is the textures, the nif file reference about 3 different texture, Water_object.dds, faountai_ripples_256.dds and musicalrock_mm.dds....well i ca'nt seem to find the 2 first ones... |

For the sound, you'll find something like "snd "rockmusic" looping" the part in place of rockmusic is the codename which you will also find in an xml in entities/sound Search for it and then delete the rest of the text in the xml (after copying it into your files) and rename it. Then recode that file. Make sure to rename the wav file so it is not the same as the original. As for the dds files, go to entities.z2f/entities/objects/shared |

A great THANKS to you penguinman! Everything works now apart that the texture looks a bit more blueish than it's suposed to once in game...So here is a compariso betwin the ingame and nifscope rendering. I had to send it as an attach since i dont know how to make it directly into the post. Btw I will upload this once ive made a few other things because i intend to release it as a pack. My next step tho is to Learn how to make theme filters

Ooh I like your texture! It should be saved as DXT3 or 8:8:8:8 ARGB for your DDS file

It doesn't matter The music will simply loop so it can be whatever length you want.

If you read through this topic, you'll find this post: "For the sound, you'll find something like "snd "rockmusic" looping" the part in place of rockmusic is the codename which you will also find in an xml in entities/sound Search for it and then delete the rest of the text in the xml (after copying it into your files) and rename it.
