I was wondering if there was a way to edit how many squares an animal in ZT2 takes up. I don't mean a straight resize but something a bit more. You see I'm making a few animals that are significantly larger than the base models and am continually finding the same issue: that the game doesnt seem to notice the change in size when it comes to animation. Particularly for animals that swim like the beaver and polar bear, this can be annoying as they continue "swimming" whilst on land and take longer to start swimming when they get in the water, because the game seems to think they have further to walk. The only reason I can see behind this is if the game asigns a certain grid size with the squares on each ZT2 map to an animal and I havent edited this grid size - so although the model is larger the space occupied is the same, if that makes sense. I was wondering if there was any truth to this and if it is possible to fix. |

Maybe try inserting something about scale and water under the proper adult and young xml files about the scale in water like BFActorComponent actorfile="entities/units/animals/Ankylosaurus/Ankylosaurus_Adult_F.bfm" scale="1.65" without the < and /> at the end of BFActorComponent actorfile="entities/units/animals/Ankylosaurus/Ankylosaurus_Adult_F.bfm" scale="1.65" sothe scale works with the animal in the water. Good luck! Note: This is just a guess and may not work. |

I think the solution is in the nif file of the animal. Try to find NiCollisionData, usually under NiNode Bip01 Spine or Bip01 Spine1. Open the block details and expand the Unknown Float 1. Try putting larger numbers there (for example if your animal is twice the base animal then just multiply them by 2). Hope this helps. |
