I've made a new animal, but it constantly gets thristy and unhappy. I was wondering where the attribute to make the animal drink is just in case that's the problem. Also, what is the attribute that makes it have a better chance of drinking water (if there is one, or something close to it)? Thanks for any help. I don't think the animal drank any water at all... |

There isn't exaclty an attribute in the xml files that has something to do with drinking. The problem is most-likely in the beh files. Does the animal eat/do other things? |

Yeah, it eats and walks around. I'm not sure if it uses toys yet, but I know it doesn't drink water (that's the only bad thing I've noticed). |

Hmm wow that is really weird. I'd make sure you have the latest files and maybe redo the beh/tsk files if need be. |

Ok, thanks for the help anyway. Maybe the animals just don't see the water dish or something. If so, how do you make them see it easier? This is probably a basic ZT2 question (from the game), but I want them to drink water, and if I know how to do this, maybe they'll drink some. |

How do you make food dishes more noticeable to animals? Just a question. Thank you for any answers. |

I'm afraid I don't really know the answer. I dont know if it's even possible to make something "more noticeable". It would require much more difficult ai editing in the beh file. |

Yes, the animal does drink from the biome editor. It says it's also going to get a drink from the food dish, but I have yet to see it drink from one. |

Still no one knows what the problem is? I guess it isn't so big if the animal drinks from the biome water anyway. Could it be that my animal does not have the line b_SniffsFoodDish="true" in the xml file? I edited some of these factors and could have accidentely taken it out. |

Yeah it could definitely be from that or other factors that you edited in that line. It's definitely worth trying! |

also, if you added anything to that section of code, make sure there are no spelling errors or anything - i made one tiny capitalization error and the animal wouldnt eat

Ok, thanks for your help. I'll test it out. I assumed that may have been the error. |
