MarineManic, sorry I read this post so late.
I was facinated on your Pygmy Killer Whale.
I just wanted to know how did u made it individual because I think you based that animal off from False Killer Whale.

I'm working on Atlantic White-Sided Dolphin based off from Hour Glass Dolphin.
I finished skinning and coding except bfm file.
So when I put the two animals, the icons in animal menu shows, but when I place one of each, they're same! :(
Later, I tried to edit the bfm file and I edited it.
I fixed 'entities\units\animals\hourglassdolphin\hourglassdolphin_Adult_F.nif' part.
I heard that in order to make it individual, you have to change .nif file.
When I searched for hourglassdolphin_Adult_F.nif to change, there wasn't that file. -> I heard later that marine animals don't have .nifs.
So I desparately tried to make it individual, but all failed except one.
When I tried again, my animal had the skin that I made, but it doesn't move -> just floating on the water. While the original hourglass does fine.

Your Pygmy Killer Whale that was from False Killer Whale is not like my Atlantic White-Sided Dolphin does.

How can I make my animal move originally and have the right skin?
Can you help me plz?

Okay I'm going to try and answer this, and then we'll get back on topic.

I'm really not quite sure what you mean by "induvidual" but yes I did make the Pygmy Killer Whale from the False Killer Whale. I did not not change the model of the whale. I just skinned it, and it turned out to look really good. You cannot change the form of MM animals.

As for the "floating that is an error in your ai/tasks/animals files. You need to code those.

Here's another tip, NEVER try to test a project unless you've coded it completely. Because if you just do part of the project, it will not turn out at all on the game.

ShenTirag or MarineManiac, I kept trying your answers, but I still failed to it.
I have a favor if anyone can look problems in my animal and fix it for me.
I will send the file to someone who can fix my animal.
If not, I guess I have to wait until how to find the .nif file for dolphins.

There is no NIF for the dolphins, which is why you must code the BFM.

But when I fix BFM file, there is a part where it says 'entities/units/animals/codename/codename_Adult_F.nif'.
I changed the codename/codename_Adult_F.nif to atlanticwhitedolphin/atlanticwhitedolphin_Adult_F.nif in order to make the animal separate with my designed skin.
I'm saying there no way to make the animal independent. I'm impossible for me to do it. I've edited BFM file so many times in many different ways, but it never becomes separate or it doesn't move when I make separate.

I have an idea to create our own nif file for the marine animals. Suppose we want to make a dolphin.nif file so first we open the dolphin.bfb file and learn the structure of the bone (Bip01 etc ). Then we open an existing nif file of an animal (maybe komodo) then we rename the bone names (Bip 01 etc) of the komodo.nif file to be the same with the bone structure of the dolphin. Next we mesh the komodo to look like the dolphin and voila! we have a dolphin.nif file.

How do you mean we should use the bone structure? I get that we need to rename the bones, but do we need to move them around, or what? I'm making an animal using your new method of modeling, so if you can give any more detail that'd be great! ;)
Edit: And what do you need to learn from the BFB? Just the names?
