It won't matter if they have in nothing in between as long as you also delete the NiTriShape and NiTriShape Data themselves. Did you change anything else in the nif besides the ear tufts? |

Hey, quick question: Can you change the scale of an ambient? |

Good news! I redid the Serval and it works ingame now: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v632/glo...rvalingame1.jpg However, now I seem to have hit another snag... its eyes are closed all the time! I'm guessing this has something to do with the blinking animation not working right with the new model? Does anybody know if I can fix this? |

I've had this problem myself with a non-meshed animal. I think the way I fixed it was to make the alpha for the tiger_blink.dds (or whatever the closed-eye file is) completely see-through. |

I replaced the blink.dds file so now their eyes stay open... hehe, oh well. I seem to have another problem... my variants and my dirty/sick skins don't seem to be working. What did I do NOW? 0_o |

Well sick dirty skins you can check out in the xml files by searching for dds... make sure they match up. As for the variants.. I dunno, what animal is it based on? |

Hmm... I've checked the XML several times... It's based on the Caracal. It doesn't make sense that the variant wouldn't show up... |

Try making the variant the main skin and see if it shows up in NIFskope. |

I mean duh you know this, but sometimes I know I make silly mistake, so make sure the _1 is at the VERY end of the file name. Now I know with MM some animal variants didnt work well... but that doesnt make much sense now. Does the official caracal have working variants? |

Mmm... no, it doesn't seem to have any official variants. I've got the numbers at the very end (Serval__Adult_F_1.dds). |

Does the sick/dirty skin not show up at all or does it show up white? |

oooook, what it seems to me is that in the xmls the name of the body part isnt right, if that makes any sense. What you need to do is copy and paste one of the lines with .dds at the end referring to the main skin or a sick/dirty skin and paste it here. Second, mess up the .dds link in the nif file for a sec by changing one letter so it no longer links to the skin file. Then place the animal. Before it is placed it will automatically be white, what I want to know is what happens after it is placed
