sure, here it is ![]() Edit: (I can't stand double posting so i'll do this instead) I'm really bad at this so please bare with me I was traveling through the Australian wetlands looking for a strange creature that is reputed to have a tail like a beaver, bill of a duck, and webbed feet like an otter. Surely a creature so strange cannot truly exist. As I'm walking across the shallow river, thinking of what this creature may look like I see something coming toward me under the water. ![]() The creature turns and swims right towards me, as it gets closer it finally surfaces. The legends are true the creature really does exist [img=http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/2598/aussierivermonsterdj2.png]May I present the Platypus |

Well the platypus is almost completely done, there's just one problem with the model, when he opens his mouth it turns into a big black blob around the end of the mouth. Here's a pic of what i'm talking about.![]() If anyone has any tips for fixing this please let me know. |

^ The best I can think of is replacing/removing the anim, but I don't know how to do that. Good job so far on the Platypus! |

Actually I did flatten the body quite a bit and I'm realy happy with the results. Anyways the Platypus is finished and I've started a new project, a Gallimimus. I used the Ostrich model and changed the head, neck, tail, and legs. The only thing I'm having problems with are the wings, I'm not sure how to edit them to look like arms/hands or if it's even possible. If there's another mesher out there that thinks they can do it and would be willing to help me out please contact me via pm . Here's how it looks so far

Nice model. The best way to get rid of the wings is to alpha them into arms. Although in the ostrich's case that might not work very well. Works well on the sec. bird When the model is done, mind sending it for me to use? BTW, have you released the Platy? |

Wow I love the galliminus. Is it possible we could see a pic of the finished platypus? Also do you know where you are going to release it? |

Again, as a designer I should know these things but I don't. How do you go about changing the alpha of the wings to make arms? If it's something that can be done with the ostrich model then it will be pretty much done. As for your question about the model... I'm not quite sure what you mean, do you want to test it? or did you want to use it to make your own animal? As for the Platypus, I was thinking of releasing all my animals at ZooMania but i'm not sure how to submit it. Someone said earlier that making my own site wasn't the greatest idea but with ZA still being down, i'm seriously thinking about it, it would just be a site to release my creations and track my progress on future releases. |

what he means is since the wings are 2 -d, you can use alpha channels to make the wings look like arms(alpha channels are the magical black and white skins in the corner of DXTBMP when you open a .dds file in there - the black is invisible, while the white shows) |

oh, well that I know. I don't think the wings are 2-d though, and in dxtbmp the alpha is all white so I don't think changing the alpha will work :(. |

then i guess you could just try to mesh the arms - maybe steenbok could help you with the arms? anyway, good luck! |

Yeah the wings aren't likely to be 2-d since they have lots of complex animations which can't be done with just a square. Meshing into arms would be really hard since I think the animations of the wings and such would make the arms look like a total mess, but I sure hope it's possible!! Personally I think making your own site is a good idea until ZA comes back, but whatever you pick is fine

Its possible that the Ostrich and some dinosaurs like Carnotasaurus may have similar bone structures so you could mesh the wings into arms and change some of the animations. I'm not totally sure how this would work but I know if an animal has similar shape they can often use one anothers animations. |

Well i've almost given up on meshing the arms on the Gallimimus. I worked on it for hours last night and couldn't get it to work AT ALL. I'm going to need some help on this so if anyone can help PLEASE pm me, i'm getting desperate . Other than the arms, the Gallimimus is done, here is a pic showing it in game to give you an idea of size,
