Never mind it works! I discovered, that, if you code the bfb files wrong(mkae teh name longer) thats what happens. So, never make the codenmae in the bfb longer

okay-im tryign to code the rock crab into an adoptable animal ambient(like teh koi). im using my cardinal tetra's files, except fo the bfm and skins and models. Now it wont move. everything else works. what controls that? is if the .beh, teh .tsk, or the bfm? i beleive i coded them all right. |

This is not something I would recomend trying because the crab is going to have to be done VERY differently as it does not act/move/behave like a fish. it will require extensive ai and bfm editing before it will work...

thanks PM just wondering, what does the animalemote.dds file do? do you have to recolor them? are they evern necessary to include when you make a new animal? |

The appear when guests donate, etc. Yes, you are supposed to recolor them; I always do (my first few animals might not have lol) |

Okay, i made some statues, a crab and a giraffe, but the giraffe is unselectable. how can i fix this? oh yeah, its after you buy it that is the problem, not when you buy it |

I would have to know a lot more about how you coded it, but there is a very good chance that because it doesn't have a bfb file it will not be able to be selectable. |

Why would you make a giraffe like that? Use the giraffe's AI and XML files, not just the NIF and BFM. |

im making it a statue, and that is the only way i can get an animal model to be an object. I did it with a crab first, and it worked wonderfully. Its kinda odd, i know, but it works, except for teh problem with selecting it after its placed. |

yes, if you get the bulldozer and bulldoze like everything, but you cant just bulldoze it if its on path or sumthing unless u bulldoze the path |

I'm really not sure what you're trying to achieve, you want to create a giraffe statue by breaking the giraffe as an animal? The animal is probably not selectable because you are not using the xml files which contain the coding the game uses to make animals selectable. I don't think you can treat animals the same way you treat ambients, you'll just end up with a load of broken coding. |

okay, I'll try to explain: i tryed to make a crab an adoptable ambient, but it didnt move, so i got an idea, i could make it a statue. I recolored the crab to be bronze and have marble varients. it all worked, do i decided to try it with a animal i took the giraffe's nif and bfms and replaced the crabs bfb and material files and the bfm with the giraffes nif and bfm. i wen tin game, and it all worked, except that i couldnt select the giraffe after i placed it. get it? |
