I created a Golden Lion Tamarin from the Gelada. The females work fine. The males, on the other hand, do not. The males have there given skin on there tail and the backs of there arms, but everything else is black. I know it is not the skin or the nif files because the female and male share those. Other than that, it works great. Thanks |

A picture might help, but the problem may have something to do with the .dds file names in the xml files. Did you search for dds in the adult_M file to see if any of the paths mis match? It also may have something to do with the blinking or the extra files for the male gelada, if you used female gelada files for the male. |

I used the male model for both male and female. The Mane on the male works fine-its just parts of the body itself that do not. All the skins are linked correctly i beleive. |

That's very odd indeed... I can only think that maybe the blinking is off, but that seems very strange. It's completely black? Or is there some gray etc.? |

Its completely black except in a few places where the skin i made shows. It doesn't blink or anything. It just looks like i did the skin mostly black, but i have redone it a few times and it still wont change. |

Ok, the first thing I noticed was that you changed the number of letters of the codename when you edited the nif file. You MUST keep the number of letters the same and then change the main dds files to match the shorter or longer codename. Does this make sense? You'll have to re-do the nif files completely because it probably corrupted them. If this doesn't fix it, I have a few other ideas. |

Yep, I got your email. Also, instead of double posting you can use the edit button thanks. So even re-doing the nif files didn't help? Then I dunno, I will probably have to do more testing myself which may not be able to happen until after the holidays

Yes, you need to check in your main .xml file, where it says:
where "tropicalrainforest_madagascar" is replaced with the name of your location. You need to make sure it's properly capitalized and refers to a pre-existing location, or else you'll have to make a new one for your animal (you can learn how to do this in the map locations tutorial).
