To TOKYO with YUI!

From wikipedia

Shinichi Chiaki is the top piano student at the Momogaoka College of Music and an excellent violinist, but Chiaki doesn't care about playing these instruments as much as he dreams of someday being a conductor. Chiaki, however, has several deeply rooted fears about traveling, and so finds himself "trapped" in Japan. Because he's trapped, Chiaki starts to question exactly how far he can possibly go in music, especially when he's passed over again and again for others he believes less worthy of musical scholarship and fame.

Recently dumped by his girlfriend for a "ham" looking fellow, passed over for a chance to go overseas, and removed from his star spot in the piano competition because he walked out on his piano instructor, Chiaki is at his limit. This is when he meets Nodame, or Megumi Noda. Nodame is a free — and filthy — spirit who reminds Chiaki that music can be fun and what drew him to be a conductor in the first place. In learning how to deal with Nodame, Chiaki learns how to deal with others. Chiaki begins to realize what is possible for him, even within the country of Japan.

For Nodame, Chiaki is everything she isn't. Clean, neat, dedicated, studious and inherently arrogant about his accomplishments and capabilities, Chiaki constantly bullies her into being more serious about life. He sees potential in her and her abilities as a pianist that she doesn't care about. She loves Chiaki and wants to be with him. But, because she's serious about neither her piano studies nor her personal hygiene, Chiaki always denies her affections.

Drawn together in a turbulent relationship, Chiaki's perfectionism and Nodame's untamed nature end up complementing each other. As the story progresses, they mature as individuals, as musicians and as a couple.

I love both the anime and the drama. There are just so GYABO

I was wondering if anyone has this video?? http://kunornnie.multiply.com/video/item/1..._Taisou.flv.mpg

Yh good news to all of the drama fans there is going to be a special in summer 2008 looking at their life in France.

This is not just a request but I want to know your opinions of either the drama or the anime.

Which one do you prefer?

YUI Marks My Spot ^^

This was once my #1 favourite dorama. So hillarious. Those Gyabo and Mukya thing..LoL

I don't watch the anime. Read the manga and think that it's better than the drama.

Yeah ... as much as they write the manga, it's very difficult to capture the mood of a piece of classical music without listening to it like in the Drama or Anime. I haven't watch the anime yet though.
I'm the "mic" that YUI sings with. Her lips touches mine every time she sings.

I Really love the drama..
The cast is very well selected..
When I saw Ueno Juri in Bistro SMAP, I thought "Woah, she is Nodame ! Real Life Noda Megumi.." I even more surprised when Tamaki Hiroshi (Chiaki Shinichi) said that he never touch any musical instrument before..
Eh ? He can't play any musical instrument ?
Well that's what I call a good acting..

Good acting? To me, his piano/violin playing are not really that good acting. Passable, but not really that good.

Mmm, I concur with Sol, the thing is, his acting was passable because Chiaki was a very hard character to portray effectively (I think he did the best he could, just a little bit...too...wooden? Even for Chiaki, because from the Manga and Anime you can feel a cold fire there- whereas...well, it's easier in manga and anime).

And I also saw Hiroshi's acting in Heavenly Forest, and I found he's STILL -slightly- wooden (or maybe I was just sensitive), but his acting is better in that movie (ps. I LOVE AOI MIYAZAKI. Okay, Just had to get that clear- but I only saw her in NANA (she's NOT NANA2, thank goodness because Hachi becomes slightly...okay -veryyyy- 'confused' after the part of NANA1 in the anime) and Heavenly Forest, but she gives a very cute and loveable-ness that is very...there? Real? Anyways!). But that's because his role is much...easier to portray? So I guess it all depends on the character you have to portray.

So, in conclusion to Hiroshi's acting, I would say he's quite good. Especially for a guy (no offense, but...guys usually have the role where it's less...emotional? I think so anyways...)

And I agree that in the Manga, it's MUCH less effective without hearing the music. I mean MUCH. Though in the Manga it continues all the way to them going to France, which neither the drama or anime will probably go because it includes actually speaking French.

PPS. OMG THAT NODAME ONARA TAISOU CLIP WAS SO. EFFING. ADORABLE! Freaky. Yes. BUT IN A MONGOOSE-ADORABLE-FREAKY way~ XD

Anyways.

Eh, really ? It seems real for me..
His hands looks sync well with the music..
Well, I guess I'm just a noob about piano things..
