 me and my best friend, we are just addicted to Japanese singer Miz. She's not really mainstream, so you probably never heard of her before. But, you should 'cause she' really awesome. My favourite songs of hers are "Give It All Away" and "In The Sky". Her 3rd album "Mizrock" will be in stores soon and we can't wait to hear it. So, here some info for you! You have to try Miz!!!!

About Miz
-Full name: Mizuki Watanabe
-Born on: March 6, 1981 in Hokkaido
-During her high school years, she would sing at the open mic and people would think her voice was amazing, but unfortunately there weren't much opportunities for her since she was only living in a cold little island.
-Mizuki entered a singing contest involving around 20 000 beauty salons in Japan and won.
-After graduating from high school, she was signed to a talent agency and immediately went to Tokyo.
-She didn't like being in Tokyo much because the water was dirty unlike the water in Hokkaido, and she often slept with a face mask on because she was afraid the roaches would crawl in her mouth while she was asleep (ew!).
-She began her solo career as Mizuki Watanabe with Universal Victor (I think.. I'm just doing all this off the top of my head, please forgive me if I make mistakes) and released two singles called [I WILL] and [Ambition] which are now out of print. Unfortunately, she was never asked to make any more singles, and that was the end of Mizuki Watanabe.
-Even though her career was virtually over, she never gave up on her dream and continued to work hard to achieve it. Soon enough, she was signed to another company as Miz.
-Soon, Miz flew to Sweden to start recording. First, she would release some English stuff in Sweden then release her debut single in Japan.
-Her music didn't turn out to be big hits, and she hasn't exactly gone mainstream in Japan, but when her Japanese album released, she had a respectable place in the charts.
-She does most of her recording work in Sweden, because she claims it's a non-stressful atmosphere there and most of her recording time would just be driving around with the producers chatting and listening to music (Whoa! That's awesome!)
-She writes her Japanese lyrics but the Swedish people write her English lyrics. But she is quickly getting fluent in the language that maybe even soon, she will be able to write her own English songs.
-She records in an unused warehouse in the tiny secluded island of Gotland in Sweden with the windows open. She claims it gives her lots of inspiration because she feels one with nature. She loves nature and so the first three PVs she made were about nature.
-She loves to give hugs!!
