Heat....a measure of a wrestler or promotion's place in the industry.

Starting wrsetlers have very low heat, usually 20 or less. While industry giants like Jared Synn, Paul Lyon, D.K., and Force have as much as closing on 300. A promotion's heat is the average of all it's on screen persona.

Heat is awarded or subtracted for anything the fans can see. What happens backstage has nothing to do with a wrestlers heat. Heat can be awarded or taken away for the following things....

-Matches
-Skits
-Promos
-Interviews

All the basic components of a show. The Promoter will determine heat awards/losses after each item....or a final after the whole show.

Match heat is easy. The starting match heat is the average of the opponent's heats. Based on the flow of the match, and what happens throughout, that heat may rise or fall. If the match heat at the end of the match is higher than a participants heat, their heat raises by a certain amount. If it is lower, their heat drops by a certain amount.

Other heat changes are based on how ell done the thing affecting the heat was.

If a wrestler jumps to a new promotion, this effects their heat. If they have moved up to a higher level promotion, they lose half their heat. If they move down, they recieve a 10% bonus to their heat. If the new promotion builds their arrival, they get a 10% bonus, if it's poorly played, they lose 10%.

A promotion must maintain only it's best at the championship level. Otherwise, they degrade their own titles, and make the promotion lose heat.

Heat Requirements

Top Title= Promotion's heat x1.5
Tag Team Title= Promotion's heat
Secondary Title= Promotion's heat
Women's Title= Promotion's heat
All other Titles= Any heat

A promotion loses 1 point of heat, per title, per show, that a wrestler holds a title with less than the required heat. The wrestler recieves 1 less bonus point of heat per show, or gains 1 extra loss per show. A warning against being pushed too far, too fast.
