Hello Hello Hello! This thread is to be read by everyone, so please do not pass it by! Things around this clan have been EXTREMELY slacking lately, and it needs to turn around... NOW. I have put so much time and effort into trying to help this clan and trying to rebuild it, but every time we start making progress everyone starts slacking again... Normally I would post a lot of the content in this thread within the staff forums, but since it never gets through to anyone in there... Everything is going into this thread. I will be posting everything in their own posts, so please read it all! |

~Activity, Members, Recruiting~ These three things are where it all starts, this is where all of our problems stem from. --Activity, Members-- Our activity has been getting worse as time goes by... Efforts have been made to fix this, but people start slacking off and eventually we are back at square one. There are many things affecting our activity... The most problematic of these is the "Retired Member" rank, and events activity rule. Both of those were implemented in order to keep the clan MORE active, but in the end it has killed our activity even worse. When people feel pressured to attend events, it turns them off at the idea... Hell, it even does for me! Now, because people don't want to feel that it is Mandatory to attend events they will either go retired, or just quit the clan altogether. What I would like to see happen is the COMPLETE removal of both the "Retired Member" status, and the "Event Activity Rule". Of course we would need to implement other things to counter the problems these have caused. Retired Member Status - If we remove the retired members status, I will be getting in contact with each and everyone of our members set as retired. They will be given three choices. 1) Be re-ranked as a follower/senior member (depending on who fits into which), under the understanding that some activity in-game/forums/ventrilo will be required. 2)Be re-ranked as a clan friend, and have limited access to the forums. The only activity requirements for clan friend would be forum and ventrilo activity. 3)Choose neither and be removed completely. I am sorry to say that I would do this, but it's gotta be put out there. Along with this, I would want to see a greater attempt by our members to become active in all aspects of the clan. This clan is YOUR clan, and you cannot expect me to try to fix it over and over. Start posting, start hanging out, start going to events, start coming in the ventrilo that I AM PAYING FOR. I am telling you all right now, if I do not see any effort being put in by the entire clan to fix these things you will lose the Ventrilo sever (I'm not paying for something that people hardly use), and I might even have to say goodbye to you all myself. I am tired of feeling like I, ME, CHRIS is the one that has to try to fix this clan.. I can't handle it alone anymore... I can't. --Recruiting-- Since a lot of our members are inactive, we will need to attempt to recruit a lot of new members... We have been working on this aspect of things, but there are many flaws in our recruitment system. First of all, we need to see more frequent attempts to recruit... That means more in-game recruiting, more bumping of our recruitment threads, and much more. Next this we need to do is KEEP the members. To often do we have people register, and that's it... They don't stick around for long. These people are disappointed in the lack of EVENTS, FORUM ACTIVITY, AND INGAME ACTIVITY ALTOGETHER. We need to make attempts to get to know these people, show them that we are fun, and give them reasons to come back! |

~GoG Staff, what we need to do~ The lack of effort being put in by some of our staff members is also causing problems. ~Quardrumvirs~ Personally, and don't take any offense to this, but I have always felt like I am pretty much the only Quadrumvir that does anything around here... I would like to see the rest of the Quad's actually making attempts to do things without me pushing it. The Quadrumvirate needs to learn to work together, and put in an equal amount of work between us all. I have taken on Head Quadrumvirate, but I stated right away that it does NOT MAKE ME MORE POWERFUL THEN THEY ARE. Quad's need to start turning to me with idea's, and we need to get things done... I want to see more posting, more technical work being done, straight up more effort to build the clan. Any quadrumvir who is not willing to put in effort on things daily, please resign immediately.... If we can't get the team working together, I will need to resign... I can't handle being the fixer. ~Moderators, Ventrilo Moderators~ Our moderation team is in need of more activity, as well as learning to actually FOLLOW GOG RULES. Cl-Skribbles - As a moderator you are required to MONITOR the forums, and keep things in line. This is nearly impossible to do for you because you're rarely on the forums anymore, and you rarely come into Ventrilo anymore. Please consider working on this. Viet S T R - I have you set as both a Forum moderator, as well as a ventrilo admin. Right now I am issuing you a Public Warning. To many times have I had to sit there and tell you not to be using comments such as "Cigarette", "gay", "homo" etc. I really mean this, I do NOT want to hear it. If you continue to do it, I will remove the Ventrilo admin and put your moderators status under examination. Ventrilo Moderators - We need to see more effort on upholding the rules of Ventrilo. People are constantly using words that could be considered offensive to homosexuals, as well as not following other rules that were set. I want to see these problems actually dealt with from now on... ~Events Coordinators~ I see next to no effort coming from our events team. There is a lack of events, the events forums are always cluttered... I am just not seeing what I expected from them when they received the positions. I want to see MORE events please... We need to keep things interesting for our members. Skill Events, Combat Events, Just For Fun Events... We need to see it all. Talk to our members, see what they want... figure it out from there. As far as the events forum goes, please put an effort in to keep it tidy... I can't STAND seeing it so cluttered all the time... Please remember, OLD EVENTS GO IN THE OLD EVENTS FORUM. ~Bringers Of Balance~ Leaving this one untouched... We need to get more BoB's before this can be handled. |

well, being the simple fact and truth stated, chris makes a very good point. and i personally believe that without chris gog will be gone. IDK who will take over and do everything that chris is doing. and no its not because chris is my friend or anything. Its the truth. If some one could step up then my bad sorry i didnt believe "you" can do it. but the truth is now set in writing and its here. |

Black night brings up a point, Especially to me and Demon, I am F2P and I would be active if there was more to do, I got into vent and sorry to say feel left out, not many people know me, because I cannot get to event nor get activity, I am unable to make events due to life problems, Lately stress has been coming on to me as our money is getting lower, and my mom is having a few health issues. I am Always active on forums I am rarely not on them, I lately have been gaining weight and I have been quite lazy, due to this I've been trying to get out, I Also have a few Issues in life I am trying to resolve. Chris I really hope you understand my point of view, me being on the forums all the time, having a clan friend would destroy me, I love being able to read all the posts, I drop lines in the Off topic all the time, I say hello, I talk about my life, i do this to help the clans activity, I try my best as well to help this clan, not having members means I can't help in game, in ventrilo, I have nothing to talk about and I am Constantly on and off the computer, so I will miss a lot. Hope you understand this all thank you. Jake. |
